No, I still have to check that correct fuel is selected. Still have to open and close my own fuel cap. Still have to tighten each valve cap. Sometimes they too busy and I even have to fill my own car.

I do when I have cash on hand, else I will buy them a coke from the quick-shop.

Yes sometimes, especially when they do something more than just filling up. They are very helpful people, on two occasions when I had a dead battery due to leaving the lights on, I never had to ask for assistance.

And they are usually very polite people, something that's very rare in the customer service environment.

If they do a good job and I have cash.
These days I specifically have to draw money and break it into change to tip. It's a tremendous PITA.
I made the mistake once of asking them if I can tip via card and they said yes - but had to use the Nedbank machine and I lost the ebucks.

I dont carry cash on me anymore but do find the attendants I get to be very friendly most of the time, even have a chat with the last one that filled up when some guy pulled up in fancy BMW, I said nice car and he said tenders lol, it made my day.

if they do the whole rigmarole, fill fuel, add air, clean windshield, check oil/water, and check spare tire pressure, and do it all nicely without any complaints, then yes, I might give them something,
but if its a splash and dash, probably not, I wish we could fill ourselves, but you know the law prohibits self-service.
