Then there are the law firms, and collectors, calling for debt who are as thick as their call lists. The amount of times I have to tell these people that I am not the droid they are looking for, ugh.
Back when 8TA launched they offered a free outgoing minute for every three incoming minutes. I use to put the phone next to the tv when a telemarketer called and let them wear themselves out like a toddler throwing a tantrum in the mall. Some months I'd end up with 100 free minutes or more.I despise telemarketers, yet, I understand that it is a job. My problem is that when I say, "no", it is a no, and some spam callers just find that unfathomable, especially the insurance sellers, and I am someone who admires persistence.

I think rvZA can put any robo caller in a state of depression. These days I just talk to spammers when they call me. Sometimes we share a laugh, sometimes they get annoyed and hang up on me. But either way, it leaves me in a better mood.
I don't have a solution for robo-calls though.
The best way is to get as much detail as you can from the caller, and deal with the company directly afterwards.Yes, best way to deal with the banks, telco's and other sob trying to sell me things I don't want.
Complaining with some is pointless...looking at you fnb and vodacom. Communication method clearly marked on all forms and apps as email. Still gets completely ignored when trying to sell you more crap. The best way is to get as much detail as you can from the caller, and deal with the company directly afterwards.
I only get harassed by estate agents and Discovery now. I've complained to Discovery for years, but they couldn't give a ****.
And it would be attributed to him?![]()
I use the native Samsung thing. Works a treatPhone by Google is as good with less bloat. Truecaller does handle spam better though. I use CallApp because I don't like TrueCaller's bloat, but CallApp has unnecessary bloat too.
For all Android users I recommend Phone by Google. For those who have a Samsung use Smart Call (Hiya is good too) and it is native.
Yup had a call from Miiway once and it came up as a "verified business"... Complained immediately to Truecaller (I'm a gold member I have you knowSpammers now just pay Truecaller to not be listed as a spammer. Scummy.
Ja, I just nuked it. Had the paid version, but it is an irritating app.I did, but it was spamming me....
