Yes. I used to use Google maps mainly for the traffic info, although lately I have found that Apple maps' traffic is quite up to date.
The reasons I prefer Apple:
1. One can instruct Siri where to go, and voice interaction is a lot easier than typing.
2. I really like the more comprehensive navigation information given, e.g. where Google or Waze simply says "in 200m, turn left" Apple maps will say "In 200m turn left on to Lynnwood Road towards Lynnwood Ridge."

Pretty useless if you ask me.
Pretty useless when you can't get it to work on Android Auto especially when it won't let you search your contacts manually.I haven't used Android Auto so can't comment.
Android assistant on my phone seems to understand what i ask it though![]()

ill install a APK and test it out when i have a chance
Can't imagine the make of car would make a difference. They're just projecting info from the phone to the screen via the USB. But try it, who knows.![]()
When I got my car earlier in the year I had an iPhone and carplay worked brilliantly. Since then I've moved over to android and it's a mess in comparison.New car for me haven't tried anything as yet - Ford focus but not sure if Sync 1 or 2 or 3 (think might be Sync 1)
