Why do you keep on about Aji Reader, the solution has been given to you more than once; buy GoodReader, or use iTunes with iBooks or get File Connect or a combination of all 3.

It looks iBooks do not support file sharing in iTunes as some other apps do, it requires full sync. When I upload from external source (like USB stick) and forget to clear checkbox immediately after syncing, this document will be deleted on the next sync operation without warning. Syncing works as expected only on single computer. When I want to pickup document from another computer, it can easy create problems.
iBooks is not bad, it has full search, but it seems to be designed primarly as a book reader, not a document reader. Having initial problems with reseting zoom level after sweeping to the new page. My documents are not simple pages for easy reading, but include technical drawings having continuation on another page.

It does, that's exactly how you get files from your PC into iBooks, using iTunes -- yet I can appreciate the problems with synchronisation with multiple PCs.

So the solution is then either Goodreader or a combination or something like Files Connect & iBooks. You'd have to search for the free equivalent of Files Connect.

Btw where the hell did you find Aji Reader?

I've just checked it's certainly not listed in many of the iTunes App stores, well none of these have it?

Some feedback:
1. Documents by Riddle. Quality stuff, supports many formats, advanced PDF viewer. But it is focused on features rather than simplicity. It jumps between pages (like iBooks) - it doesn't stay in continuous view (on the border of two pages).
2. Files. Less advanced PDF viewer, no search, but it has continuous view in vertical mode and facing pages view, so I can link two pages horizontally or vertically and zoom on the border area as required. It maintains zoom level and double tap works as expected, absolutely no surprises.

Now these two apps have sort of "common folders" replacement - transfering files between each other, also other apps like Safari and Chrome and iBooks. Primitive approach to bypass OS limitation, but I can live with that...

Re: Aji Reader, Not sure. It must be SA store, no redirections, no iCloud. I logged from PC to someone else iTunes account (the person who gave me iPhone) and opened "Purchased" section. Downloaded from here. My own account is in US store, it does redirection every time I download something.

That make sense, you gained access to it because it was previously purchased, but it certainly isn't available anymore.

That's what happens often with crap apps.

Why even bother dude? Go to Game, CNA, ... and buy an iTunes voucher, so that you can download Goodreader and anything else that catches your fancy.

I can only learn by reading features and user opinion. Features Aji were not bad, "continuous-scrolling view" was my particular interest:

How you can then say it is crap? Only the closer look raise suspicion: search function requires to process document on their server, someone clearly likes indexing my documents.

Honestly if you're going to ignore the advice given and rather rely on your own research, then please do us all a favor and avoid creating what now appears to be a pointless thread.

Ps. Don't be naive, there's a distinction between valid consumer ratings and paid product promotions.

I asked you to show me consumer ratings for this app, as you are trying to discredit it and your rating system is based solely on the fact of removal from the app store.

Give it up, arguing about an App that doesn't exist is completely pointless, surely even you have some comprehension of that. Now if you ask me why I think the App no longer exists, simple it was probably crap.

Do you say that GoodReader can solve my problem with duplicates? Maybe I would consider buying, if it does, certainly I would.
If I buy GoodReader and it doesn't solve a problem, I will chase you to get refund from you (whatever it takes) with costs, as you post rubbish.

No, you imbecile. You wanted a way to have a common use folder and GoodReader was suggested. It works. It can move documents to various apps, including iBooks and Acrobat reader. However, instead of trying to use this advice to solve your problem, you decide that it's more important to argue about an app that's not even in the app store.

There is no single application to do the best in all aspects. It is why we don't have GoodReader iPhone but we have iOS operating system and applications running on top of it and using iOS services. Above link explains how "open in" concept for replacing shared folders is brain damaged.

I'll ignore your first paragraph and address the second:

I agree with you that iOS is not ideal when it comes to centralised document sharing. I currently have a bunch of documents on my laptop that I need to transfer to my iPad. I'm going to use GoodReader to do this. My MacBook connects to the iPad as if it's a server. All I have to do then is drag the whole lot of documents to the iPad using Finder and it's done. Once those docs are in GoodReader, I can then transfer them to iBooks or any other app that supports that file format. What would have been nice was if the iPad had this type of functionality built in. Apple decided, in their infinite wisdom, that this functionality will not be be built in and we have to resort to workarounds to get the job done.

Arguing about how useless iOS is will not fix your problem. Finding a possible solution to your problem would make better use of your time. If you are unsure of how to use GoodReader, please feel free to contact me and i'll help you. If you are in the Centurion/Pretoria area, then you are also welcome to visit me and i'll show you several ways on how to transfer documents using GoodReader. You can then decide after that if buying GoodReader is worthwhile or not.

Yip. I wrote in this thread, my two other application (Documents by Readdle and Files) do exactly the same. It is why insulting me for not using GoodReader doesn't seem appropriate in my opinion.

One problem is already solved and I don't need to resort to your generous offer (thanks anyway), but there is another one with duplicates and I see I am not alone on this issue.

The duplication issue is irritating. What I do is transfer files to iBooks etc and then delete the copy left behind in GoodReader. Not an efficient system but it works for me. The "open in" option in Goodeader is one of many, many features that make it an essential app for iOS. The ability to upload/download to AFP/SMB/FTP/WebDAV shares, Dropbox/Skydrive/Sugarsync and several other cloud based services, transfer files via wifi from one iOS device to another, download files directly via http etc. Here's a link with all it's features: http://www.goodiware.com/gr-man.html

I'm not saying that you are wrong in using the apps you choose to use, i'm just saying that maybe you should have a look at GoodReader and then decide if it can solve some of your problems.
