Does any person have a problem with iburst data usage recording

Uncapped Wireless Prematurely Throttled

Help needed! @iburst
[data usage wrongly recorded by iburst system and prematurely throttled;phoned iburst tech support,problem can't be solved by tech support;Upgraded to new package a month ago;repeated problem;iburst.co.za's bandwidth info shows 'Bandwidth Usage Unavailable' ]

This morning yet again, Uncapped wireless package throttled to 256k per second due to FUP reached after 1h20min usage (450mb data usage) after midnight.This is not the first time having experienced the same problem.Two days ago after 2.5G data usage my FUP is reached and thus been throttled for the rest of the day.

Out of frustration I phoned iburst tech support at 8:05am today,after repeating four times the first consultant has no clue about my problem.In his own words 'he only understands i am on an uncapped wireless package's part'.He has no clue that every uncapped client has a 5Gig daily uncapped data(FUP) and he puts me through with another consultant.

The second consultant understands my problem straight away,however he's unable to help me. He said all he can do is to send me an usage report because from his side iburst system showed my FUP is reached for today.
I explained to him I only download for 1h20min after midnight,with 1mb modem there's no way I can consume 5gigs of data.I further stated this isn't the first time I'm having prematurely throttled.
But he's sorry there's nothing he could do from his side.

Now I wonder how this problem can be solved where iburst's data usage system repeatedly wrongly records clients data daily usage and throttled prematurely. And the tech support consultant said he can't do anything on his side.:mad:

Just ask to speak to an advanced systems tech. I had the same problem Friday/Saturday, phoned in, spoke to a consultant, told me my data was used up. I then asked for a advanced systems tech, explained the problem to him and within a hour or 2 the problem was sorted.
 
how does the Iburst uncapped work? is it 5gig usage per day? and then once you reach it (256K throttled) ?


Also what is the maximum speed 1meg , 2meg? can it go higher?
 
I contacted the Helpdesk at about 8am yesterday and requested a usage log. I was promised that it would be sent within about 5 minutes.

Two hours later I phoned to ask where the report was. I got a reference number 921310. The second person promised to investigate and phone me back.. One day later still waiting and no phone call.

Somewhere, somehow, bandwidth is bleeding away and I need to find out where. All of a sudden (past few months) a couple of emails a day regularly take over 100mB.
 
I would be interested in the uncapped options if it was truely... uncapped.

I don't mind the throttle to 256K (but after 5gig per day was already consumed).

And no questions asked... or moan if I do 7gig a day ( or 210gig to 220gig per month)
