Reason being that lately I'm just flooded with nonsense. There's no actual networking going on. There's only two things happening:
Is there any benefit in keeping it going? Serious question...
- Spammed by recruiters who didn't bother reading my experience and skillset. I specialise in a very niche set of skills that are relevant to the financial sector, but on their side I tick a box based on my job title and therefore I must be interested in whatever small company they're trying to push.
- Filled with posts by people who are "really excited" by whatever kak they stumbled upon, to make it seem like they're up to date and deeply invested in their industry. When they actually have no cooking interest in any of it.
For now yes - am looking for a new role. Once that is done I will be downgrading to "vanilla" LinkedInAs a matter of interest, does anyone else here pay for the Premium account features?

Got my previous 3 positions through Linkedin, without actively using it or applying for anything, just keeping my profile up to date, only notifications about direct messages, and I never visit the site unless someone sent me a direct message, been working alright for me so far
I can't be bothered by the grindset influencers on there trying their best to look like absolute nuts with their love your work and your work will love you bullcrap
