Does anyone still use LinkedIn?

Since discovering the platform was used to stalk me I have deleted all of my info there

Yes I get a lot from recruiters abroad with LinkedIn, but generally just ignore them. It still seems very popular and makes for a great CV online if you actually get into it.

LinkedIn is horse KAK. Inflated sense of self worth, self importance and skill, and totally inflated accomplishments rephrased by GPT to sound super impressive. Long winded posts with very little substance. It's a clown show. I've see what some of my colleagues and seniors post, and how they describe themselves. Jassis.

I'd love to delete my LinkedIn profile, but it unfortunately has it's advantages. I got my current job though it.

When I assess someone, I largely ignore what they say (mostly fluff). What’s interesting are the titles, whether the company they worked at is well known (and company size when it is not something I know).

Very often I’ll see something pitched, like “Join our zoom discussion on CTO leadership, by experienced technical leader ‘Joe’”, so I look up Joe, and discover that he graduated 5 years ago, has had 5 jobs, and is now the CTO of a 3 person company called “MyAI”, after a stint as a junior front end developer. The excessive self-promotion of these people who have arguably failed (or have hardly even started) their careers is off the charts.

Use it a lot, never post anything. I follow people in the industry I work in to see what's new. I follow our vendors to see what new products they're punting. Soon as someone I follow get's a bit spammy I unfollow.

Disabled it. Never ever got a single thing of value from it and all it does is expose your job and position to a potential adversary.

I probably still have a profile on LinkedIn, but I do not have access to it anymore since I left the company some time ago and do not have access to the e-mail to delete my profile. It's probably going to lay dormant until they decide to delete it.

Bunch of Dunning-Krugers.
