does bf2 work on Vista?

Please can you let me know if bf2 works on Vista?

i've got 2gbs of ram.....

tried vista ultimate - and bf2 - load times are MUCH faster

however...the game swops ALOT more in vista than in XP

xp takes longer 2 load - but no swopping.

then again - i do play everything at max detail

i had punkbuster complaining about not having sufficient privileges under vista and got booted from the servers, also if u dont have alot of ram u're stuffed. :/

bf 2 sucks on 32 bit vista lots of lag

64 bit vista though, a totally different story

runs really well on 64 bit vista, the load times are super fast

thanks i only figured that out after the posting - still took me forever and a day to load a map with my 1gb ddr400

right now xp seems to work better, i dont know of running a game with DX10 is really worth the effort. i still run bf2 on 800x600 even on my 8600GT so i can't be terribly bothered right now.

just off topic: how much of an improvement is DX10 on games?

BF2 laggin on Vista was what made me dump it in the end. I have gone back to XP and its better than it was on Vista for sure. Sorry Killa

yeh, i'd have to agree with Rocket-Boy on that one.

BF2 on XP runs fine with an old 3000+ and 1GB of DDR400. Vista alone chows up most of that, so it became too much of a schlepp at the end :/ sorry vista

vista 32 bit has bag lag in bf 2

i run 64 bit which has zero lag, much better than 32 bit

Now what would the point in jumping to Vista be?
