Really curious about this. I use a lot of Netflix, Kodi, Youtube, etc and would really like to know.

When I game or just use the web, it’s all fine, but when I stream, it buffers every 2 minutes! And this is me on a 20/20 connection with nothing else connected to the router. Speed tests also show up fine.

No, they don't throttle you.

Which services do you experience slow streaming on, and is this via wifi or cable?

Netflix, YouTube, Twitch. I watch some series with Kodi cause Netflix just ain’t got them. All of them buffer.

I stream using my Android TV on a wired connection.

They don't throttle or shape, they let the bandwidth flow rather than spending time and money on trying to shape/throttle.

We don't throttle as advertised, we have a Netflix node on net so no reason for any buffering. More than likely a line or fibre provider issue.

That too, in fact they multi home their network and have capacity with IS locally as well as other international capacity.

And they have a real office, and parking that isn't in a dodgy af area.

@PBCool - that sign on the boom gate by the parking is genius, but you gotta get the dude in the ticket box to wear a CISP shirt.

Yeah unfortunately we just moved from there :). We are in Rosebank now.

I've been with Cool Ideas since October last year and it's been great. No evidence of shaping, throttling or bandwidth capacity issues.

Damn, I'll miss having you down the road.

Still need to take you up on that beer...

Easy, go to rosebank, pull PBCool out of their new larger offices and drag him to Foundry. Problem solved.

I finally got the time to check out some stuff, but Cool Ideas is currently down with TT Connect :(

In terms of other info, my Android Tv is an MXQ 4K with the Kodi, Netflix and YouTube.

It used to run with no problems whatsoever and never used to experience a buffer until about 2 weeks ago. Now, it takes a while to load up anything, the buffer is continues and when a video plays, it lasts for about a minute and buffers again.

I did run a Speedtest on the Android TV and I get around 16 up and 14 down.

Also, every video buffers no matter the time of day (both on weekends and weekdays)
