Does dstv use regular coaxial cables?

Can you please explain the funny thing about the cables impedance?

The one is RG6 and the other is 75Ω

Be careful to get the right one.

The 75Ω cable is wound anti-clockwise so optimise for Northern Hemisphere systems. Make sure you get the Southern Hemisphere version, especially if you plan to use it at latitudes below (ie higher nominal value) -35 degrees (South). PE sits at approx -34-deg S, so anything further south might produce a little blue shift if you use an analogue tuner or CRT TV.

Oops. Left the d off "opitmise". My phat phingers on the phone again. Sorry, abzo. Didn't mean to confuse you. Hope you got the Southern Hemisphere cable.
