Still sitting in the same situation. Been more than 2 weeks now and not even the line application has been processed yet by frogfoot, so not even a yes or no to if the line will be installed( Afrihost.. you mention in your email on sign up that it takes 1-2 days for you to get application feedback?) never mind the lead time of average 2-3 weeks installation. Im even wondering if frogfoots mentioned 4-6 weeks installation time frame that you never mentioned would even be hit. I have not received or missed any calls as of yet. Wondering if i should just bite the bullet and move to the other infrastructure provider with another isp. FRG789237-PLZ-B1
"Hi there, our standard lead time for installation is 4-6 weeks. I would suggest you hang on to your ADSL until then. Afrihost placed an order with us on your behalf 11 April 2020. I see there were some ISP quote corrections that also occurred. Nevertheless, keep in touch with Afrihost regarding your installation although I would say you're looking latest 23 May for installation."What does Frogfoot say? Why is it taking this long
The infrastructure is is laid and live. It's for them to install fibre to the premises from the connection boxIs this just laying the cable ? I already have fibre but want to move from Openserve to Frogfoot however I can't sit without internet for weeks.
Hi there, the issue lies with having 2 order from 2 ISPs. Your account was in limbo as you had to choose which ISP you were terminating. I have emailed the relevant provisioning officer and will provide an update momentarily. The infrastructure is is laid and live. It's for them to install fibre to the premises from the connection box
Wow ok, Well that was from last year, Mweb put in a order without consulting me first like the field agent said. I also told Mweb to cancel any orders they had done and returned the router that showed up out of the blue. They said they had cancelled the order with frogfoot. It should only be the Afrihost order that's waiting to be approved. Also was this communicated to afrihost? As this is now the first im hearing of it.Hi there, the issue lies with having 2 order from 2 ISPs. Your account was in limbo as you had to choose which ISP you were terminating. The previous ISP may have not cancelled fully with Frogfoot as we also see these updates.Wow ok, Well that was from last year, Mweb put in a order without consulting me first like the field agent said. Has no ETA been given on how long you will have to wait?
We can inquire in another month's time however we hope you get alternative connections in the meantime.
Thanks for your patience and I hope you do get connected soon. The ETA given is end of May 2020 - i had contacted FF to find out if this date is still on track or not - so from that mail it seems its unlikely.
Am currently on Telkom LTE and that's working ok for now.
