Im fianaly getting ADSL! :D The one gig nashua one. Can anyone tell me if its got a local cap after you finish your internatinal?

Oh and if I was to buy a local data bundle can I only use that when the nashua cap is finished and how would I use it?

thanks people

Hello hello hello.....? Anybody Here?

No it doesn't have local with it. It has 1GB verizon bandwidth/MTN not sure what they are now anyways.

You do not need to wait for the 1GB account to finish cause there is no local bandwidth. That account has a username and password.

just buy a 30GB local only account for R130 or buy a 2GB/28GB international/local account for R145 at sagateway.com or openweb.co.za and add that username to your router to use that account.
Simply change back to your nashua account and use that 1GB bandwidth. I heard that you get a completely open router. Otherwords its not network locked.

Last I heard was that it is locked

If I was you I'd get my ADSL line direct from Telkom, and then get a semi-shaped prepaid bandwidth account from Axxess or WebAfrica which works out at R70 per gig. Can't go wrong with that plus no contracts or any tie ins and very easy to change ISPs when prices eventually change.

I've heard too many horror stories about Nashua.

Ah Thanks people. I had to go with nashua because it was the cheapest adsl and that was the only way I could convince my mom.

Iv got a spare router. So can I just buy the local bandwidth bundle and make a new internet connection to use it? no contracts?

if you put the router in bridge mode then you can dial a connection from windows/linux with no need to login to the router. It very easy and convinient.
