Alcohol isn't the problem. The people abusing it and the people that's suppose to enforce the liquer laws are the problem
 
You can't ban drinking, it's simply not possible.

It's been tried before. Banning does not work, regulation (age restrictions etc) hardly work.

Alcoholics are a symptom of deeper underlying problems in society.

if you have something with sugar or starch content you can convert it into alcohol, even if yeast was banned from stores it would not make much of a difference. The air is full of the stuff.

Price it too high and you will end up with bootleggers, moonshiners, lead poisoning, Clostridium botulinum infections, methanol poisonings and all the rest of the fun stuff that happens.

The rich will keep bottle store purchasing, the rest of the population will find alternate sources.

In my humble opinion, South Africa has numerous other problems, which a majority of people attempt to solve with alcohol.

No charging more will only drive the poor to other means so NO. To curb drinking they must fully legalise ganja. Nothing makes people quit booze faster!
 
No drinking problem...

I drink, fall over, go to sleep, no problem...

Therefor, I do not have a drinking problem....

Hairless Habit less People will always have problems with other people's habits. I don't understand why they always go across the line. Stay on your side and we will stay on ours. What you do on your side is yours's. If it is boring fiddle with your Facebook.

Sharia law doesn't work, the black market thrives. Check out the Middle Eastern countries.
 
I think our government is drunk. Cutting police and education budgets to fund SAA?
