Does the back light bleed in the picture constitute a malfunction?

exactly what happened to a friends brand new Merc CLS500. :sick:

It really bugs me when suppliers try and screw people like with this monitor. It's cooked out the box. If they say it was fine when they tested it then the delivery agent could have stuffed it up but it is unlikely. It should just be replaced. How long did you wait after getting it to call the supplier?
 
Okay I'm now sitting in front of my new monitor.......finally

Haven't noticed any problems yet but then neither was there problems for the first few hours last time.

Interestingly this one came with a sheet cover taped over the front of the screen

Wait...didn't the first one? Mine did all three times. Seems you got one thats been sent back and they tried to make you keep it.

Been 3 days and so far no problems.
