This is a snapshot of my router settings. Does this mean that I should be able to get 20mb connection?

surely its more than just looking at the attainable rate? My attainable rate is ±12mbit, but my exchange is limited to 4?
(After Much Zooming) Yep!
You are correct. The exchange also needs to support 20mb. That stats are pretty much your line quality to the exchange.
Cool. Is there anyway (besides phoning telkom) to find out if my exchange supports 20mb
My stats looked very similar, in fact SNR was worse, but have succesfully upgraded to 20Mbs ADSL2+ about 2 weeks ago, running like a dream.

BTW Telkom still shows my exchange as 4Mbs.
Absolutely LOVE your CRC errors..![]()
I'm on the margin for 20Mbs, about 1.3Km from the exchange with an 8 - 9 Noise margin. It is expected, but in context of about 4GB downloaded, nothing to hassle about.
6 is on the borderline on having disconnection issues on down![]()
Yep, Surprisingly, when I was still @ 10Mbs, my noise margin ranged between 12 & 16, granted I made an extension line to the router and still want to ensure better joints (was meant to happen this last week-end, but....) anyway when they switched me over, it dropped down to about 7 to 8 which surprised me, unless that's the way adsl2+ works.
I've learned not to trust D-Link SNR/Attenuation statistics at all. 200+SNR...LMAO. 200dB attenuation translates to nearly 15KM of copper to the port, not possible to get 20Mb on that length of wire.

I always prefer plugging the router into the jack which comes from outside not a fan of extensions unless it is for a phone only![]()
