Yes. Here on the farm we operate via a cell phone signal booster so no electricity no signal.

The problem is that the tower, that no longer have batteries due to theft, is on another powerline that always get loadshedding after us. Therefore, no signal.

Yes I know there are other options but they are very pricy.
 
Still need to get funds to buy router back up, but a R218H with Afrihost or Telkom pre-paid SIM helps out for now.
 
Well if I really need to use the internet I take the car out of the garage and plug my router into the charger and I can pick up the rain tower in the next town.
Rain is too inconsistent for me to warrant shelling out for a UPS for my router.
 
2 hours of shedding this morning.
Fibre stayed up throughout (router and ONT plugged into a mini UPS).
Frogfoot (via Supersonic). Cape Town.
Fingers crossed it stays that way...
