Good day

I had my domain pendlepro.com hosted with one.com, but wanted to transfer it to Mweb.
In July I was informed that, since I canceled my subscription with one.com, I could not transfer the domain to Mweb, and would have to wait for it to go through the redemption period, and later the "pendingDelete" phase. I checked daily to see when it would be deleted. Up until yesterday morning, when I looked on whois.com, it showed "pendingDelete", but at around mid day yesterday, I saw, upon checking again, that it was registered with a certain Network Solutions LLC, 5 days ago. I obviously do not understand what someone else would want to do with my domain, other than trying to re-sell it to me at a hiked price. I did a Google search on the topic, and discovered a practise called "cyber squatting". Is that what I'm dealing with now? I've also contacted Mweb, who advised me to rather get in touch with One.com (my previous hosting company). I'm still awaiting a response from them. Since I have little experience with how all this works, I would appreciate it if someone could shed more light on the topic, to help me make an informed decision as to how to proceed ffrom here on.

Thanks very much.

It seems they let your domain name expired. It was likely re-registered by a new owner and you will have to buy it from them. You should have initiated the transfer before cancelling any subscriptions.

Your domain has been grabbed already. Should have transferred it before it expired.

There is a forward on the TXT record for the domain - probably details of the new owner. They have already setup NS on CloudFare.

You can try contact networksolutions but there is probably not much they can do about it.

Buyer will probaby sell it back to you at a inflated price.
