Domain Query !

Hi guys

Some advise please…

I was looking to register a new domain name, but found that it is already registered.
I did a whois on co.za and the domain was created on 2010/12/01.
I sent the ‘owner’ an email a while ago but no reply.

Funny thing is, there is no accounting info (invoices/statement records) showing on co.za, Nothing !
What does this mean ? Can I still ‘get’ the domain name ?

It was probably created through the new EPP system. Domains registered this way have almost no data on them. Kinda strange looking at the .co.za whois`s and not seeing all that information there.

No, you cant get the domain name. It belongs to someone else. You can buy it from the owner.

I've actually sent the owner many mails, asking if he/she'd be interrested in selling this domain as it's not even being used, but no reply.

Oh well, plan 'B'... think of a new name then

Nowadays its better to first see if a domain is available before deciding on your company's name
