Don Bradman Cricket

I have the ps3 version and have been playing it for a couple of days now and have to admit my view is the complete opposite of the original poster. I take about 5-6 wickets per game with spin bowling and when batting you can change settings to put a marker on the ball to help when batting if you really struggle. That being said part of not knowing where the ball is going to land makes the game more realistic and enjoyable. If you knew every ball where it is going to be how will you enjoy the game? Every game you will end up making 1000 runs in 50 overs like the one previous poster said.... But thats just my view. If your struggling with the controls or have questions go to http://www.planetcricket.net/forums/don-bradman-cricket-14-forum/ you can find all the questions etc on there to help you.
Thanks, will have a look

Im gonna give it a try again tonight.
You are playing on PC though, dont have stupid analog sticks to spin to hell know where....

Also played Ashes Cricket 2013 on PC, what a terrible game, got pulled from the shelves just after its release.
Don't know why they don't take 2013, and just fix all the bugs and flaws and release it again, at least its similar to 2010.

No no, no no. On the pc u can ONLY play with a controller, there is NO keyboard support. I have a xbox controller on my pc.

How much time does it take to complete a game?

Not very long, I can't remember off hand but it wasn't more than an hour if I remember correctly.
It's not like doing the Lemans 24 hr in gran turismo thankfully.

Test matches take longer but are also not all day afairs.

@Lament When bowling spin the left analog stick only rotates 3 times before you bowl, if you spin the analog more than 3 times before you bowl your amount of spin goes down again, and the right analog you use for ball release and drift direction in the air. Let me know if you have anymore questions, maybe i can help you.

You can simulate the game if you dont want to play the entire 50 overs etc which helps a lot. I simulate a couple overs when i start feeling it goes on too long. :)

I'm gonna try this!!, i thought i must only spin it twice...

I bought this game on Ps3 and while there are a few bugs (Which the developers are going to fix via patches) It is definitely more realistic than any other cricket game. I love everything OP complained about :p There is no marker on a real cricket pitch which makes batting more difficult (no 300 runs in 10 overs) Bowling is actually an interesting thing to do now, don't just place a marker and wait any more.

Do they use real players names in the game? My son has been waiting for ages for new cricket game on the PS3 but made up names like Allyn Fonald and Jakes Callus just sucks and spoils the immersion factor.

Expect to see Brett Leap :D
