Don't bother getting an ADSL account from OpenWeb. They sell this "amazing" thing called openbrowse, which after your 3GB cap is up, you supposedly can still browse another 27 GB. Funny thing is though, it doesn't work! You know what the most annoying thing is: "The connection has timed out" - or similar messages in your browser. The sad part is, you pay extra for that service. @ the same price (well, for R5 less), I could have gotten a 4GB account from another provider. And then when you try and get support, your not being taken serious.

Anyhow, OpenWeb, you just build yourself a bad reputation. If you advertise something, please be able to actually offer it as well.

Oh, and PLEASE change the message on your phone. After phoning back the third time, thinking I misdialed the phone number, I realised that I'm not phoning an escort agency, but the support desk. Hey, I don't want to be served by some dirty-sex-talking voice. Get a proper support system in place.

hmmm, haven't seen many complaints regarding openweb. perhaps try and PM MrBEEP.
Thats because there havent been any.

Drop Mr Beep a mail or pm him on this forum.
Then, if he cant fix your problem, we will listen to your 'complaint'.

I'm going to get OpenBrowse next month, because the number of positive reports about it far out-weigh this one negative report :p

OpenBrowse works fine for me. You sometimes get a "Too many connections" error if you try to load several pages at the same time, but otherwise I have no complaints...

Dude youre talking about one of the most respected ISPs you'll find mentioned on this forum. They've already built themselves an excellent reputation.

You are entitled to your oppinion of course, but in my oppinion openwebs openbrowse service works well. Did you even bother downloading and installing openrouter?

As for support, my emails to MrBeep have always been answered promptly, even on weekends.

I started my first ADSL month with a openbrows account and frankly I'm not impressed either. Works fine, but I found some sites that don't want to load. Also slow and SOMETIMES I get better international speed when I disable the openbrows proxi, even though my usage is way over 20GB so far.

That said, I still think that OpenWeb is the best ISP out there, quick response to email questions and giving users a maltitude of options.

OpenWeb rocks.

I presume you did not install openrouter on your computer.

If you have no clue how to use it,why bother get it?

WTF is up with that answering machine?

I actually called the number just to hear this :).

A bit of harmless innuendo for all the lonely computer geeks without girlfriends ... but say Mr Beep is she perhaps taken ??? ;).
