Don't take it personally

Quick question.

When someone says or does something and say don't take it personally doesn't that actually mean that it's already a personal? Why would you say it don't take it personally?
on a level, they find what they are going to utter/do offensive, -and are softening the ground for any potential retort/PK ...

That is what I thought. I'm doing the most instead people nitpick on irrelevant stuff and now I'm getting micromanaged to the point where I need to ask permission before sending an email and then my colleagues say don't take it personally yet the people that are actually super incompetent because they do absolutely nothing are cruising along nicely.

If I have to hear one more time don't take it personally or get emotional, I will snap.
Micromanaged on an email?

Why would they even do such a thing, something is missing to this story.

Is the same as taking posts personally? I've seem to done myself up with another shadow.

trick is to get your mindset to the point of understanding, others utterances, are their perception of things/life...and their internal battles has nothing to do with you....does not mean you bend over, if need respond, but dont get trigger to a reaction....people constantly tell you exactly what sort of madness is going on within themselves, just a bit of awareness...

And we're all just assuming the OP is a beacon of light at his work because he says so?

MyBB
I don't think that is the point. It is his useless colleagues that tells him not to take it personally when they have the brains of pigeons. Sure, maybe there is a valid reason for the micromanagement from his superiors, and maybe he can work on his communication skills, but having your lower incompetent minions tell you not to take it personally is annoying.

His useless colleagues? Based on what? His say so?

And now the useless colleagues are lower incompetent minions

It's like you're making this up as you go along

What I have noticed about OP is that he doesn’t behave like a soulless corporate drone when dealing with clients here at MyBB. He actually has a personality and a mind of his own and that is freaking amazing.

That said, there is a reason companies expect you to conform and stick to the script - you can be a liability to them otherwise. So while I’d hate to see this dog muzzled / leashed , I get why there may be some attempts to do it.

Gian must just know that if that happens, I am switching to Cool Ideas.

And now we're actually getting to why his colleagues are doing this. It sounds like they have no issues with him "personally" and he's a nice dude. But work is work and that's what they're all there to do

I doubt they guessed being polite would get them branded as nobody minions on MyBB
