DOOM 2016 PC physical media

meh.....

Didn't like this doom took longer to download then to finish the campaign and multiplayer offers nothing new.

Feels like they just put a game out there to make the fans happy, for me its just another shooter with nothing special about it.

I haven't played it myself but a lot of people are saying its as good as Wolfenstein:TNO. TNO was one of the few games where I only played it until I finished it.

Have you played multiplayer... does it have multiplayer on LAN?

I'm running an old HD7850 2GB factory OC. Was hoping to hit at least Medium seeing as I still play many games on mid-high with this old card, but had to use the Low defaults to get 60FPS. Still, the game looks great even on Low.

Guess it's time for that upgrade I've been putting off.

I think MP matchmaking is messed up. It takes me very long to find matches, if I find matches at all. This is on PC.

I really wish they would just give us dedicated servers and a server browser.

Is there an option to create a game and invite friends?
 
Nope. No server browser and no way to host your own servers.

An absolute waste. Killing MP on PC before it even started, because you can barely find games with the current system.
 
^^, there's a thing on the bottom right of the MP menu about inviting friends into a party \ lobby and then joining a game...what happens exactly after that, I dunno (are you on the same team, are you scattered across different sides?).

Because I have no friends :(....with Doom.

Wouldn't help for downloads per se, but your physical media would be Blu-Ray and you would get 100% of the game on the disc, with optional patches for single player (if you intend to use online features \ game online patches are compulsory)
