Yeah, thats cool! Only consolation is there are sometimes less leaner months than the 12 lean one's already in the year! Making it an interesting affair! :D

More info than was required :p.
Oh pish and tush! Using the definite article leaves no room for ambiguity ..well, if one knows one's way around the language at any rate. (yes, I know I'm being pedantic, but it amuses the hell out of me)

And, in other news that's on topic [:)].... can we please establish if anyone has been given a refund/suitable exchange/goods yet? If you have/when you do, please be sure to let us know.

No big suprise to y'all, I'm sure, but I am still waiting for my refund/new card/an email to tell me what's happening...

Well so far people Brian should be concerned about are (in no particular order):

- Alienware (Fraudulent claims, misrepresentation)
- SAPS (Fraud, theft)
- SARS (Fraud, VAT related misdeeds)
- BSA (Non-distribution of legit software, Business without legit)
- Microsoft (Same as above)
- OCZ (Bringing disrepute to company name by association)
- Angry mob ;) (Yes well... incubate, Yak, myself and possibly Debbie) :D

Brian... seriously. Come and post or even swing me a PM. Despite everything that's happened here, I'm sure there's something we can all agree on that will lead to happiness all round.

Has anyone made any attempt to contact OCZ? Im sure a company such as themselves wouldnot want to be associated with the likes of our buddy...

A quick word to give some perspective: we've (well, my buddy Stateside) got the case incubate's been pining after ;) tracked down already. Bear in mind that I just dumped this on my buddy who, while he's also something of a hardware geek (but doesn't live in/for it like me) and doesn't do it for a living either, can find a source (we're now trying to find a better one) in something like two days.

I have to say, it makes me wonder how on earth this could've been SO badly screwed up - and for so long! I've had entire swathes of skin blasted off me by customers that, in the past :), for one reason or another, felt I didn't move fast enough for them. On a related note, one learns to be thick-skinned in this biz... :D

bdt: The difference can probably be put down to two things. 1) Your friend is actually stateside so he has more at his fingertips than we do 2) He hasn't royally screwed a whole bunch of people so that suppliers aren't likely to touch him with a barge pole.

Mr Person needs to learn about service in the states (if he is there). I ordered text books from an american supplier last week they screwed up the shipping and then had to resend it. Becuase they recognised that it was their mistake and that the books won't arrive at the promised time they sent the books over the weekend (at their cost) via DHL Express and I received it yesterday. Now that is service...
