Oh Brian! seems to me the longer this continues, done by yourself, the more people read this and the more new truth's keeps coming to light. So much for a few thousand rand that you did not handle business properly, and started to be hard@ss to customers when you knew You were in the wrong!

Seems to me he did not travel to "Boston" to open a office rather to open his own version of Guantanamo Bay, a Person_al hide away! somewhere in the Cape flats?
Ag Man give him a break, a break from life or a KIT KAT!

equipment being delivered and even no MS office 2003 discs with delivery of computers

I just wonder how much this self made profile statement have to do with it!
Rather damaging if Microsoft have this as proof in an possible lawsuit!

Damn he's such a kill joy  . Should I sue you for not wanting to make us laugh? :p...it's discriminatory against MyADSL users to not create humour.

TheYak: Have you gone to the police station yet?

Nope, couldn't go... no transport at the mo, so I had to get a lift with a collegue.

Hey Guys,

I decided register to let you all know that we've also been messed around silly by DOT IT - or whatever they want to call themselves.

We have been waiting for our win2k3 discs and licences for over a month and a half without any sort of reply from Brian(after more than 11 attempts of communication which I will post here if you so wish).

I cant begin to explain how many hassles we have had from the company and himself - from faulty printers, computers, failure to deliver at promised times and even locations, wrong equipment being delivered and even no MS office 2003 discs with delivery of computers.

We have even had our tech's running around trying to replace faulty hardware from HP's service centre and Frontosa(who actually told us that Brian hasn't even paid for the equipment yet). Luckily the guys at Frontosa were very helpful with our issue. The amount of money our company has spent on fixing the equipment that he has delivered(or failed to deliver) has been quite substantial and we have seriously considered legal action(This amount includes, travel, tech time, etc).

Brian hasnt replied to any of our emails for almost a month(telephonic calls are useless as you know), and he had promised delivery on the 23rd of May or a resolution to our problem on that specific date. We luckily have everything in writing.

Just so that you know, we've also been battling to get something out of this guy/company for ages - so there are plenty of cases out there against this guy.

Eish... it just gets better and better...

person ffs sort yourself out now. This is only going to get worse. You're probably counting on the mods locking this thread - I highly doubt they will do that. THIS IS NOT GOING TO GO AWAY! You are going to have SARS and courts all over your ass if you don't get yourself together. You are being very silly here.

Well so far people Brian should be concerned about are (in no particular order):

- Alienware (Fraudulent claims, misrepresentation)
- SAPS (Fraud, theft)
- SARS (Fraud, VAT related misdeeds)
- BSA (Non-distribution of legit software, Business without legit)
- Microsoft (Same as above)
- OCZ (Bringing disrepute to company name by association)
- Angry mob ;) (Yes well... incubate, Yak, myself and possibly Debbie) :D

Brian... seriously. Come and post or even swing me a PM. Despite everything that's happened here, I'm sure there's something we can all agree on that will lead to happiness all round.

Just be glad you got your money back, I am sure it was of fear for persecution as taking money and not deliver the goods amount to theft and fraud! Concerning Yak, it would be slightly different with the card failure as if something purchased fails that is not fraud, maybe the R1000.00 refund issue, but I do not know the fine details there. As for promises? just read through the thread of what to expect. I would be surprised if you do get it! so forget it, If it was me and it arrives I would send it back with a note what to do with it! There is many a nice Thermaltake and other cases. Tickle your fancy and get one that is available here and now. It does nothing but look Uhm "Smart" IMHO not really worth the extra expense! The supply of PC's with not legal software is very serious!!! Ask Microsoft, that is worse than piracy and if software was paid for as part of the deal and not delivered that's fraud and theft again!

So far I don't see sufficient reason to lock this thread - it certainly is enjoying more attention from mods [watchful eyes] than the previous thread.

Of course you're not going to lock it, because the mere existence of this thread is performing a very valuable community service by:
1) Allowing others to see how NOT to run a business
2) Allowing others to see the troubles some people are having with person/dotcomputers
3) Serving as a warning to other would-be online scammers and fly-by-nighters. This thread is a small contribution in the struggle for legitimating online business in SA. MyADSL as a community is standing up and saying, "no bru, we will NOT let you get away with this. You will NOT so easily damage other legit online busineses in SA, and we will NOT let you further damage the 'one-man-out-of-his-bedroom' image."

Eloquently put as usual Debbie :)

*whispers to rpm* keep this one... she's good

This has truly become a community service of sorts and it's great to see how much support people can get from an online community and how little carp South Africans are sometimes prepared to put up with. Good on 'yer all :)

Yup I'm on it already ic. Kind of figured it to be that way. Guess like everyones saying, even though ppl got ripped off it helps that no one else would want to follow in these footsteps as the previous thread and this one shows. Makes it a little safer for online shoppers for the future. Hope everyone gets their stuff back and sorted out.

Well so far everybody has played fair and have laid off the personal attacks. The only forumite not playing fair is Person who continues to evade questions lodged towards him. The more he dodges, the worse it becomes for him. It's not too late, nobody has yet filed a case against him, so I really think it's in his best interests to address peoples concerns. If not to do the right thing and admit that he was wrong, then at least to save his own ass.

This needs to be sorted out immediately, and maybe people will think about dropping their charges against him. The longer he drags this out hoping for the thread to be locked, more attention will be drawn to this thread, more people will come out and say that they've been screwed by him (as demonstrated by Tb' - http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showpost.php?p=562483&postcount=204 ), and more charges are going to be laid against him. So if he knows what's good for him he will sort this out ASAP, and I know he's been following proceedings so it's not to say that he's been unaware of what's been happening since the closure of the last thread

Well, personally, the only reason I haven't been 'attacking' him with insults is cos he doesn't even bother responding to anything anymore.

Well I must say that from the response from these 2 threads i'm surprised this didn't explode sooner.
