I'm aware of this, was more a joke towards the lag that many SA players have (including myself for the past month, although this is an issue on my side not ISP related) as well as the SA players who search EU ranked.

Slightly off topic....

but **** me Weekend solo-queuing can be bad.

I hate playing Lich, but had to do the final Patron quest...so...

game 1 : Russians. So bad the other local dude abandoned after 7 min and I followed soon as it was safe. Lost.
game 2 : The 10 year old with verbal diarrhea, playing Troll Warlord. OMG, nothing against kids, mine play too, but shhhhhsh a bit! And no clue. Lost again.
game 3 : 3 abandons after 5min. But....myself and the Windranger kept playing and it was very close we almost won the game 2vs5. We died hitting the ancient and got overrun from there. Fun game, but lost again.
Game 4: Other team had a "Level 1" LC and TA, both ending with 25 kills each, my team feeding so badly was disgusting. Lost.
Game 5. Finally won, decent game. Never playing Lich ever again.

Hmmm....

Who was in your game with the lich? Had a Lich in one of my games yesterday. The guy played really well and ended up with a decent KD (for a Lich). We got romped early game, but managed to pull it back late game. I was PA and we had a LS/Tiny top lane with a Storm Spirit, yes a Storm Spirit mind you, mid. The Storm spirit got a great start, but dropped off a bit later as he got rompled.

No, that wasn't me.

My experience with Lich is always the same, such a great laner, always end up 4-1 or so after 10-15min and then drop off badly towards the later stages of the game where you end up just spamming your slow and ice armor for effect, with the odd ulti harassing people.

The game we won I had a good Batrider lane partner, we had Ursa, Dazzle on the other lane a decent SF mid. I ended up 6/8/15 ,will take it with warding duties. Because of the Dazzle going mek I could go Agh's eventually and that helped things. (match ID 2219081619, sorry my corporate firewall doesn't like dotabuff.)

I don't play Lich often, but whenever I feel like a nice chilled lane stage, I'll play him. Eat a creep, nuke the offlane, pull the wave. Eat a creep, nuke the offlaner, pull the wave. Life is made easier if you have a safe laner who can look after him/her self...

Once I start I can't stop. Clean for about half a year.

Haha I have tapered off by playing Path of Exile, so now I am only scrim and play clan matches...

I have stopped playing back in November because of the team fails. Started back up last week after a lot of updates, some huge. Thought maybe things would be better… o how I was wrong.
Last game I played last week we had an early lead, 10/1 and that’s when everything went south. Then everyone with kills thought that they were unstoppable and just went for those kills. The enemy started 5 man playing and took out one after another. We ended losing something like 18/33 and having only taken 2 towers.

Anybody know where I can find some Dota Merchandize? I live in Cape Town...

My son's having a birthday end of the month and a little Dota widget or two will go a long way. I've seen Raru has limited items but not paying R400 a t-shirt.

Raru is your best bet I think. Not sure of any other places that you could get from. Don't just look at shirts - there are other Dota things on there as well. Check under Merch then sort by Dota.

Yeah I did, but if you also happened to tick "In Stock" there is only 7 items....

:D Yep - fell for that one and got refunded for 3 items I thought had been shipped.

Just went to go look now - I see the wall scroll isn't in stock anymore. I ordered both the bounty hunter and PL scrolls. Only PL arrived - seems they are out of stock with all of them now. :(

Had a really strange game last night where the other team literally sat in their fountain and made sure they did not get kicked for afk. Game was done in 15min, a waste of 15min the bastards.

I'll be spending most of this long weekend reacquainting myself with Dota

Played a few games over the weekend, but still suffering from brain lag :D
