It's possible since you only need around 150 games before you able to play Ranked games.
I couldn't find any games last night on ranked and unranked. So either the community is a bit divided at the moment, or the matching making is a bit broken.
I'm leaning more to it being a bit broken. When I searched last night, after bout 2- 3 minutes, the timer would just reset to 0 and start over. Happened for about an hour (30 min ranked, 30 min unranked) before I got invite to play Division with mates.

Same thing happened to me. I just gave up after a while. Something looks to be wrong with the matchmaking system.

Ye man, you cant just create a new account and start playing Ranked games, that would be somewhat silly, would have so many smurfs ruining newbies games and putting them off dota for life
You need an experience trophy of lvl50 before being able to play Ranked games, which comes to around 150 games

Yup, was introduced with Reborn, with the old dota 2 you needed level 13 before being able to play ranked, which required around 75 games if I'm not mistaken.
They clearly trying to get rid of smurfing, as 150 games takes a LONG TIME

OK now the level 13 thing I remember. I haven't been a noob since old dota2. Reborn is harsh lol. I don't understand why people would bother smurfing tbh. MM is just going to rank them with a high MMR after a couple of games. At best they get 3 maybe 4 games at lower ranks before it pushes them up. Many people do this and sell 3k-6k accounts to 1k kids
a quick google search http://www.vikingdota.com/ and https://www.epicnpc.com/forums/73-DotA-2-Accounts they go for anywhere from 20 to 120 dollars.
After searching ranked for 20min found a game last night, then waited 20min for a normal 2-stack. Then stop searching after 30min queuing for normal ranked again.
So still "broken", although I'm pretty sure it's got nothing to do with servers but the divided players pools.
At least I only have 2 more ranked to go before I get an MMR....then I can join the scrub-club with full credentials.
Also, maybe some advice for people grinding through their 10 games ranked....play a hard support! I've played Dazzle 4 times with 4 wins. My only losses being trying to carry with uhm....4 other carries.
Just seems all the try-hards want to show off their Ember etc skills and adding proper support really enhances your chance of winning.

Also....with 6.87 looming...what's your predications? Some suggestions that it will drop within the next week or two.
OD, Invoker Nerf?
I certainly think OD needs the hammer, but I think a good Invoker requires such a high skill it will probably be left alone. In my bracket Invokers rarely perform well. Seems people just see them as a free Shadowblade and Whirlwind/Meteor monkeys.

That is one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen. So dishonest. I had no idea someone could actually do that.
I'd like an Invoker nerf, just to bring down the pick rate. Don't mind the hero, as long as people can play it well (which I can't) OD needs a nerf. Even if that hero gets destroyed mid, will still do well. Spec might get a slap around too.
