Dude I was queuing the same time as you and hoping to be teamed up so I know someone on the team has a brain. But yeah I will probably still play ranked till I drop below 1k MMR then I will stop :D

Does playing in a party of two change it from solo mmr to party mmr, or does that only apply for when queuing with more than two in a party?

I've watched some of your games and you do a pretty good job mid, so I really wouldn't mind playing some games together :)

Solo = 1

Party = 2-5

I'm interested to see what the effect of the 18th will have.

I played a lot this weekend, but luckily none solo, always in a stack ,normal, and waiting times was between 1-5min every time.

I applaud the OSR crowd, it's a great idea, but I think eventually the long queues will win and people will just go back to normal 2min queues.

On another note, anybody see the end of the I-league finals game 1??? Talk about Epic....easily one of the best (manic?) 15min of Dota I have ever seen.

Yeah, I tend to agree with you. Really hope it goes the other way and more people tend to move over to ranked... But only time will tell.

You talking bout Star ladder? Navi vs VGR? Won't give away spoilers... But that game 1.

There was actually lots of good Dota played through the LAN. Watched a lot of Dota this weekend. Only played one match :p

Yeah THAT game....

I then also watched the next one....and was absolutely amazed about the micro-management of Chen and Lone Druid with the creep army and bear. Made me realize playing either of those hero's is beyond me :(

I was pretty blown away by the Furion base defense vs the Gyro.

Wish I could say the same! Had some horrible games last night. Didn't play well at all.
Personally I played OK. Went mid against an OD and wrecked him. Unfortunately my team thought it would be a good idea to choose 3 hard farming late game carries and a Sand King against a well balanced team.

An offlane Antimage ... against an OD, Earthshaker and Lich... who didn't go BKB because he "always [forgets] to turn it on". (nearly 6000 hours in game... I died a little inside)

On the plus side it was hilarious watching a morphling try to play support because we had no real position 5 :D

Played 2 ranked games last night, Game one went up vs Razor with OD. I would not recommend this as the lane was hard with the constant harass the Razor has.

Anyway halfway through game when I started to snowball the Razor started spamming stuff like " I always win mid thanks for losing the game team" Got really salty when I wrecked him in 3 hits. Tbh first time I see this type of salt in a ranked match but probably to be expected

I was pretty fortunate to be honest... I had a super rough time mid as lina vs a drow... Getting Mirana arrowed 3 time for 3 quick deaths in a row... Lost mid hard because of it. But my team were very forgiving and didn't flame once, and tried to create as much space as possible for me to get back into the game...

I used to play a lot of DOTA1, and have been playing DOTA2 on and off and only have 255 hours or so since it came out. I have a 57% win ratio in SA pubs despite the fact that I don't play that often and sometimes beat guys with 3000+ hours. It makes me sad that people can play so much and don't improve.

Unfortunately between work, life and wife I only get play on weekends but I managed to catch a few of my friends ranked games last night.

1000-2000 mmr game had 3 leavers even though you lose mmr for leaving, they didn't care.
2000-3000 mmr game I felt bad for the one guy actually doing something while his team fed and never put up one ward. He lost
4000-5000 mmr game my friend dominated from start to finish and again in the next match. Think he should be in a higher bracket

I'm not looking forward to the 1-2k bracket at all, 2-3k had some signs of life and most people at the 4-5k bracket were good.

I've seen it as well, there usually is 1 guy on a team who's MMR is not at 1.7K as dota says, I quite enjoy playing vs someone who makes the game challenging as I also got calibrated in this bracket most people on SA servers gets calibrated at 1-2k MMR so if you want to avoid that calibrate on EU.

But just to show the skill gap in some games.
