Giving kills to them isn't as important as it used to be. With assist gold being a thing you can just nuke that trucker down and your carry will still get gold.

If the carry is in the fight then they are not farming so you should try give kills to them.

# Warcraft 3

:D

Nope. Its kill or be killed, if the support is not attacking/casting just so the carry can last hit a kill 10/1 the enemy is gonna kill someone.

Not sure if its 12 Megs, but yup I get that too. Process called SteamHelper is doing it.

You either get it because you're running your steam in Beta Mode - So grabs any updates before they get put into a stable release. I had this on to use steam streaming before stable release.

Or, its just all the crap that the dota interface throws at you and new items added to the shop.

Steam isnt in beta mode but its definitely 12Megs, my donwload meter maxes out my line speed for 12 Megs when i open Dota.

I too scared... lol
I tried doing the hero challenge, I'm on Lina and tried playing her, you know when people starts swearing your mother and yell report report report... yeah that was me within a few minutes of playing Lina, its really demotivating.

In my opinion, the biggest mistake anyone can make playing Dota 2 is to play to win (unless you're pro and want to go to TI5).

Now sure, do try and win but don't work yourself up about it. It adds unnecessary frustration to your life and you'll end up disliking the game.

More often than not you'll find yourself in a party with l3e7 players who all believe they are the best carries ever. It's some SAfrican arrogance thing. The mute button is your friend, let them rage while you enjoy the game.

I've personally "quit" playing Dota 2 four times and every time I came back I was more nonchalant than before. I've finally reached the point where I just don't give a **** about win / loss ratio.

And always remember this about Dota 2 match making.

1. Match making hates you.
2. It will always try keep you at a 50% win rate
3. You will stomp one game then get utterly stomped the following couple of games as punishment. Because point 1.

Where does match making get all the noobs to put on your team so you lose?

Just teams you with players that have an MMR in the gutter. Its goal it to keep you at a 50:50 win:loss ratio.

I've played with guys that bought 3 pairs of brown boots before. Heck I played with a Drow a while ago that just bought clarities and tangos the whole game. It can get frustrating and I wish the game would pair me with players of the same experience level to keep the games entertaining but that is the price you pay for Dota. For the most part I avoid it by hardly ever playing alone.

It matches teams quite evenly. Not going to use actual MMR numbers, but let's say your team's players are ranked 5, 5, 3, 1, 1 then the other team's players will have the exact same (or extremely close) ranking total. The total of yours is 15, so their team could also have 6, 4, 2, 1, 1. So yeah, because it's so evenly balanced, you'll stay at 50:50 usually. Don't worry: both teams have players buying 3 brown boots :p

Worst is when everyone chooses carry then moans at the last guy for not taking support.

When I play alone I almost always have to play solo support. If I don't we'd just have 5 carries. Then carries buy 3 pairs of brown boots each and all the wards, courier upgrades, and smokes in the world won't save them :p

Then for some unknown reason the other team feeds the riki and you win.
The reason isn't unknown. Nobody buys sentries or dust. Those are for supports... of which there are none because like true champions everyone picked carries. :p

I've played games before, where I just choose support immediately so that my poor team mates can take their time picking their carries - only to see two other people picking supports - without playing any sort of supporting role the entire game. Or my personal favourite: when I DO actually decide to carry, but then have to buy my own wards, courier (with upgrade) because our Lich is trying to jungle and our Dark Seer wanted "mid or report" - and neither can support for ****, and feed horribly. I love Dota. I really do.

But then again, I rarely go solo anymore. I only jol with mates - it's much more fun that way. And we usually win.

That's cool and all, but Dark Seer isn't usually played as a support.

Just Super Saiyan

Oh yea, invis usually works well against the all carry teams. You can usually be safe in assuming they have no wards of any kind anywhere. Low level pub games FTW! :D

Even if they only have a solo support an effective invis hero can slow that support down heavily as he is forced to grab sentries all the time. When they have 2 supports then you need to start worrying a lot more.

Jungle Lich is best Lich EU!!!

I also tend to only play with mates now. I can't stand going solo and having to fight with Visage over why he bought a shadow amulet, vlads and an armlet while I was left to buy all wards, everything to do with courier and all the smokes.

I only play him as support.
I do too but that is because I'm useless with him and if I'm playing him it is because I randomed him and want to at least be of some use to the team :D

I've seen some mean core Dark Seers before.

He's one of my most played heroes (I DS like a baws). Once we're all the way up to their ancient, I wait for us to wipe them, then drop a wall in their fountain for lulz.

Does that bug still happen where if you drop a wall right as the Ancient is falling then it instakills every enemy touching the wall?
