You kidding? You can easily get 170ms if you choose the right ISP, and that's more than playable. I actually prefer playing on EU, just because the playerbase is bigger
GaskooN, I haven't been in the ADSL loop for a while but I hear good things from WebAfrica, MWEB and Afrihost. See if you got mates that will lend you their account, just so you can be sure it's the ISP and not the line.
Dota was down then on then down then 259mb update then down. Geeez man
I get 300 ms on eu, whats the best ISP for eu gaming? I would love for this to come down.
If you struggling to last hit with anything above 100ms, then I've got bad news for you...No I am not kidding. I said it won't change by MUCH. Playing with anything above 100ms makes last hitting more difficult.

I just played a game which got into a heated argument, the guy on our side said he was having lag issues, so I told him Telkom sucks and he should find a different ISP
:wtf: You must be a real hoot to play with. Thank christ the mute button exists.
He was in a party of 3, which were all at his house, we lost baaaaaaadly. He got 0-9 mid.
Yeah, but moving ISPs is a mission for a bit of temporary lag. And what a point to argue in a DotA game. This is why I play with VoIP disabled and regularly mute other players. I wish people would just STFU and play the game. That's all I want when I join a game, not philosophical discussions, technical arguments, or people telling me how I should be playing the game because they saw Dendi do a killer build once with my hero.
It was you wasn't it?
Nice blogI just played a game which got into a heated argument, the guy on our side said he was having lag issues, so I told him Telkom sucks and he should find a different ISP preferably one that uses the MTN IPC, he then turned around and said that Telkom "owns" everything and that every ISP will act the same way.
I tried to explain to him how AH/MTN's network works and he promptly told me that he works for "them", I assumed Telkom.
I then told him to do some research and get his facts straight.
He then swore at me and went AFK from that time on.
Sigh.
Nice blog
