Who watched Volvo Pls versus KYS(local scene) wow that ending was so sad
 
Just btw guys tonight is the summertime madness cup finals at 7 just go to live games amatuer tournaments > europe > it should be at the top there will be giveaways to spectators hopefully we can get the stream going as well

Don't really know when the local scene plays games, is there perhaps a place one can check when these local okes play?

Awesome, will try to tune in.
Will those DGL games have commentating? I'm to lazy to follow the action by myself and miss the most chaos on the map, when there is no commentating i just click on your player perspective or the captain.

Insanity, when are you guys commentating?

Most of the games should have a caster. I'm sure insanity and them will cast some of our games, we will just ask nicely :D
 
Just started playing a bit more (again - damn you, WoD). I've formed a team with a couple of work mates (and a few games we've played with before), and we'll probably join the DGL Winter. We're not bad individually, but as a new team we're still learning the ropes of trying to play more competitively, and get pwnt as a result. But we'll get there.

South African casting of Dota 2 games needs a lot of improvement. I don't believe I've heard Insanity cast any games, but from the other casters I've heard, it's really not up to par.

My two critiques are:

Personally criticizing a player.
EG: "Nyx is not achieving anything while roaming, doesn't he realize that it's a waste of time?"
Rather say: "Nyx is roaming looking for ganks but unfortunately is struggling to find any."

Useless information.
EG: "Tiny just picked up a Ogre Club"
Rather say: "Tiny has picked up the first part of his BKB to counter Jakiro stun that has hindered him in previous team fights."

I don't disagree that SA casting is not on par with the rest of the world. However, Our casters are fantastic.

Perhaps add insanity or Snare or Saint_dee they are top notch and have cast tonnes of international games.

The Directed Camera usually helps you catch most of the action. I leave that on when I'm too lazy to move the camera around myself and when there isn't a caster.
 
I always put it on Dedicated/Directed Camera (whatever its called) as that's the only one that actually sees all the kills, casters tend to miss some since they busy casting.
 
I also enjoy players perspective, learning clicking patterns and following item and skill builds closely, if the team has a good captain they usually watch how the others are doing, so you don't miss a lot at all.
Gonna watch some Dota tonight if you are playing Deadmanza and no load shedding.
 
Anyone watch the DAC game Navi vs Wings?

Reckon Navi was just having fun since they already qualified for the group stages seeing as though their team line up consisted of a Pudge,Tiny,Techies,Venge, can't recall the fifth pick.
