Dota 2

I would love for it to be a thing, but Ranked in SA I doubt will ever happen. I was on a number of channels over the weekend trying to encourage as many as possible to search ranked, but after bit of time most tend to give up and just go back to normal. Pity.

Starting to like the new UI. It obviously has its issues, but overall not bad. Bugs in game are a bit annoying, but so be it. In the not too distant future, we won't even remember them.

I queued for a ranked for 15 minutes yesterday. SA and EU West nothing.

So gave up and started playing all random. Had a whole lot of fun!! Can't remember when last I played mid before yesterday. Had Aghs QOP in 15 minutes. Although we where all over the other team we struggled pushing them and the game lasted close to an hour. It was awesome!

I'm actually loving AR at the moment. It seems to put everyone on an even footing in a way. Then again, I've played in a few games where the other team's "random" heroes were all the bollocks ones: Ursa, Leshrac, Riki, Tusk, etc, and the ones on my side were all extremely squishy. But yeah, AR can be loads of fun. :D

As an aside, I still haven't seen any news from Valve on the clicking issue a lot of people are experiencing since Reborn was launched (hundreds of posts of reddit at the moment about it). It seems as if the hit boxes have been changed.

Ya, I don't think it will take off. I mean, there is no harm in trying , but right now ranked in SA is nothing more than a dream.
 
Simple fix for valve: Make drops only available in Ranked, make experience earning only for Ranked. This will fix ranked in a jiffy for SA. Unranked can be used for clannie matches
 
There are weather effects and then there are terrains. pixel is referring to the dust storm weather effect, which (hopefully) isn't the dessert terrain we were promised.

I don't care about drops or experience. Just want to play, I doubt this will do much.
 
Anyone experienced really bad/trollish play from their team mates recently? I just solo-queued, and my team mates were in a 4-stack. They would purposefully go wandering about, taking on 2 or more enemy heroes alone - the results are obvious. I checked their profiles and they had like 3000hrs on Dota each. What's the point of playing a game just to **** up the enjoyment of some random stranger? I honestly don't get it. The problem is that it's not the first time it's happened. We've had issues for ages just finding games since Reborn came out, and now that we can finally play, the short-bus seems to have arrived at the same time.

Do yourself a favour and just have a look at the chat in the lobby thing on your home page in Dota. That will tell you all you need to know about the SA Dota community. I have never in my life felt so ashamed to be South African. The guys on there think it's all fun and games, and I suppose to a degree it is, but the comments that come out of there is something atrocious. I just ignore and play Spin TD, or watch a Pro game. I think since Reborn was launched I played maybe 4 games with marginal success.
 
Since the update ive been getting badly raped, some serious nerfing needs to happen.
