The general public availability of .joburg, .capetown, and .durban domains has been delayed by a month

Currently, the application fee for regular domain names (eg: YourOwnName.joburg) is R1500 while the application fee for premium domain names (eg: Insurance.joburg) is R6500, Diamond said.

Wow, that is a hefty price.

Damn and if you want to prevent cybersquatters you have to fork out for all south african cities...
