With MTN's HSDPA and Vodacom to roll out their HSDPA next week, Telkom's ADSL is now slower than the mobile networks. Isn't it time for a 2 or 4 Mbps, the promised price reduction and (hold breath) larger caps?

TelkomInternet can't be for business. How can they market 3GB as business on a 1Mbps (and soon possible faster) line? 3GB might be just OK for one user, but for a business with 10 or 50 users that just never will do.

rpm, is it about time again to do another broadband report after Vodacom's HSDPA?

Uhmm... MTN and Vodacom have competition driving them. Telkom doesn't.
Please DON'T hold your breath.
 
Telkom released their 1 Mbps ADSL at the same time as WBS did 1 Mbps. Telkom won't let ADSL slip against the mobile networks.

It was shown in court (and it is a widely known) that All You Can Eat started out as being unlimited. A few weeks after AYCE was launced last year said:
Why dont you cap on 30gig then!! It seems to me that youre accounts are uncapped! Reached 40gig on one of youre 30gig accounts!

It is indeed very interesting to see all these posts here :)

@ayce: You reckon it may (if it isn't already) become a viable alternative to ADSL to run through one of the cell companies? For this I mean the whole shebang - downloads, gaming etc.

Cost prohibitive????? If it can be done cheaper then the joke is on TELKOM!
