downgrading DSTV

Right so I'm going to start weening myself off DSTV in preparation for my Mede8er multimedia player purchase.

I have SD Dual view PVR, is there anyway I can downgrade without losing the PVR function?

I think that if you downgrade to compact, you can still have the PVR functions by paying the monthly service fee.

eish - don't know if I can do that I'm hooked on House / Law & Order / NCI / Top Gear / History ch / Discovery ch's / Series / Natgeo....... I have dual view so I can watch 2ch at the same time PVR so I can record another

want to ween myself off slowly until I have the Mede8er stock with MY pgm's

We have never even had M Net, let alone DSTV. Saved ourselves a fortune. ;-)

I do watch the rugby & F1, but the other channels r way more interesting. I'll drop it at the end of the year.
