Downloaded Youtube video scrambled playback - using IDM.

Some videos downloaded off Youtube using IDM don't playback properly. The picture is all scrambled. So I suspect this is a form of copyrighting or encoding, making it useless to download and watch other than in the native Youtube app/web interface.

Is there a way around this and is it what I suspect it is...??

Use 4K Videodownloader or YTD Video Downloader

Try downloading 720p...those behave differently from 1080 on youtube (yes really)

This is what I use. Just for the record, I don't download Youtube videos, so I can't confirm this case, but it is a good tool.
