Dr. Phil show today

Um, haha, well..

It seems rather pointless arguing with you as you fail to step out of your close mindedness and have a decent discussion while considering other people's opinions.

Anyway, from my point of view, the human seems to have been made with purposes in all aspects of out bodily functions, so it seems that if our sexual organs are compatible for example to reproduce between a male and a female, and not between two men and two women, then the so-called argument of the "naturalness" of being homosexual has no validity.

However, I personally do not mind, in our modern times people should be allowed to marry each other, be it male or female, as long as they are not harming anyone else.

I also feel that most people on this planet at some time in their lives has wanted to or has experimented with people of the same sex, in a sexual way. I don't know what one can attribute that feeling to, but I believe it is VERY common. I also see the attraction in gay partnerships, as the relationship between two men and two women is on a much more equal plane, but that's quite hard to explain.

My opinion is simple. I would think that doctrine a few hundred years ago saw same sex partners as "the devil" (or not being natural) for the sole reason because of the average lifespan back then together with the "go forth and multiply" word from God. (and the guys who couldn't get laid went forth and invented maths!)

We're a lot of people now. Chances are there is nothing that will kill us all, some of us will always survive. Love knows no boundaries. Life is too short, why regret it. People have been married to cows or sheep before. What's wrong with the ultimate show of love for one another by means of getting married? Even if it's same sex. All you can thank God for is that they won't "spawn evil" ;)

Safferbeauty, even though it's okay to ask for an opinion, I feel this thread would rather be best served under the Religion section on this forum based on what you base your opinions on. This will get people talking more about the religious aspect than the moral question of "is gay right"

Your opinion on the matter according to you won't change at all because of your beliefs. Why then ask the question in the first place?

Whenever I ask for opinions is because I know that mine might change depending if there is solid reason to. I take into consideration what people will say and adapt my opinion accordingly IF I feel that it's right. But from the outset you shoot down everyone's opinion because yours won't change anyway.

Think about it. I believe, but I don't let my beliefs dictate my opinions. People will tell me I'll go to hell... well, my response is, if all religion is right, and anyone that doesn't believe in the same things you do will go to hell, then heaven will be a very lonely place... :D anyway. Just my opinion. I'm off to go buy a speedo, I hear its nice this time of year... in hell...

Just been watching Dr Phil and he is doing a show on same sex marriages: is it right or os it wrong? I personally don't think it is right. God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. What are your personal views on same sex marriages?

My outlook on life and all things living:

1) Do they cause direct harm to you or your family?
2) Do they cost you money?
3) Do they force themselves onto you?

If "NO", regardless of what "They" are ... I have absolutely no quarrel with them.

I am allowed my opinion. I am not forcing my opinion on anyone. I think its not right. All I was doing was asking for other peoples opinions as well, thats all. Jeez you guyz love attacking, I must admit.... Thought we could have a decent debate but clearly not....

All you guys could have actually said was yes I agree, no I don't agree... thats all I actually wanted to know but anyways

You shouldn't readily expect non-vocal debate on a contentious issue.

Those with a liberal point of view, along with those who lead a non-conformist lifestyle, could easily interpret your initial post as an attack. By bringing the ever-volatile religious angle in you opened the proverbial floodgates.

Besides, if you look past the tone of many of the responses, there are plenty of opinions other than your own on offer. ;)

Then request a poll and state that the topic is not open for discussion. :)

Debate is healthy. Arguing isn't. Differing opinions is what makes us evolve...

It seems during the thread you're changing your mind quite a bit to if you'd like to hear our opinions or if you just want a yay/nay answer from us. Which is it? Would you like us to debate with you on the subject matter or wouldn't you?

Some people will take this out of context and start insulting others, that's a given and you have to open yourself to the fact this is a public forum with many personalities.

If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen... or something ;)

Ok! Ok! Just calm down. Where did we attack you?

BTW: Are you HOT?

lol. way to get the priorities in order!

I am ok with red haired lesbians, they make good movies.

Those are make believe lesbians. Real life lesbians are either too ugly to look at directly or man haters... so you either go blind or get bliksemed!

The Bible also says you should not eat pork...

Some people don't think it's right to eat bacon, go figure..

I don't think it's right either

- Says so in the good book
- Means a poor pig had to die
- Causes you to get fat

so yeah, it's totally not right...however I do love eating it...can't get enough! :D

Actually it says in Acts 10 that you SHOULD eat pork.

homosexual homosapiens

If a farmer's animals went homosexual, he'd go out of business and the potential for "evolution" would be greatly diminished unless they evolve to be asexual creatures.

If a person is born with a mutation of being an hermaphrodite then it is a deformity, it is not another option or an additional sexual classification. It is like being born down-syndrome or with a cleft pallet, it is not normal, it is from being in too similar a gene pool where the chances of such occurrances are higher. There is also the speculation in UK that the recycled drinking water contains too many artificial hormones from "processed" eostrogen that may contribute to the more common occurance of such deformities there.

It is not ethincal nor should it be acceptable for this perversion but this is the age of human rights whether those rights are right or not and those are the facts.

we should avoid fat, blood and anything that may cause our brothers to stumble (by eating food dedicated to idols as in deepavali etc)
We are under the New Covenant and the things that a gentile is required to keep is much less than those that are required to keep the law.
However, we must be all things to all men that we may win some.
Somehow, I have no desire for for things that have ambiguous acceptance, besides there is virtually no nutritional value in calamari, it is mostly colesterol and that is why such things were deemed unKosher because they were NOT healthy. Lobsters are the cockroaches of the sea.
Fat and blood are still not permitted under the New Covenant.
No fat no Blood and most of the ten commandments and a New Commandment to love one another as He has loved you.
That is the sum of the requirements of obedience for the gentiles, thank the Lord because there are 613 laws that the orthodox Jews bind to themselves every day!
