Dragon Age Veil Guard

At least EA finally sent a e-mail acknowledging my refund request....

I am sure they have quite a few to work through
I can wait.
Their refund policy is in some ways better and in some ways worse than steam

On steam if you played more than 2 hours, you are stuffed

EA allows refunds no matter the play time as long as you request a refund within 24 hours of purchase - which is a bit rough considering download time
There is also a 36 hour option for technical difficulties - which is what I went for

Ok so I started Veilguard.

Holy crap, my first hour with the game was just me trying to figure out how to use arrow keys for movement (no problem using wasd but I've just always preferred arrow keys, I'm weird like that). You can't rebind arrow keys for anything so I had to download AutoHotKey and create a script just so I can use arrow keys in the game. Now the game works fine, I can use arrow keys, happy days!

Played for a little bit and the game is awesome so far. Looks good, sounds good, combat is great and the game still feels very much like Dragon Age. Running the game with ultra settings with no issues.

Just unbelievable that in 2024 there are still AAA games that don't allow you to use keyboard keys you want to use and that some keys can't be rebound.

On its way!

Local business lost my business as nobody even has Life is Strange in stock and BTGames has DA but something went wrong with their payment gateway when I tried to make the purchase and their support was useless so just ordered both from Amazon.

This does not make sense:

Steam data, and that which is not made private, showed inventory data that around 355,000 copies were sold at the time the game was released. This is only Steam, taking only public accounts under consideration. Yesterday's data have it at over 550,000. Not the best AAA seller to date, by no means, but Endymion's data does not add up. I mean, the data is public. This is why I dislike social media: some people lie straight through their teeth without shame, and cashing in on emotions.

I used to like Grummz, until I didn't. He is also making a game... crowdsourced, and he isn't delivering, making excuses all the time. At one point he said that he is too sick to work on the game, but posts non-stop on X. I can't take people like this seriously.

Yeah I don't get people actively rooting for it to fail, probably it's just outrage to get views and ultimately make money.
We can discuss it and have an opinion and then just vote with your wallet.

People like that grummz wasting so much of their time by desperately wanting a game to fail. Makes no sense to me and it is so damn pathetic.

Life is so short and they spend their days doing nothing but whine about a game they have no interest in playing lol.

1. Because why not?
2. People clearly have already voted with their wallet.
3. Because people wanted a new Dragon Age, in their opinion this is Dragon Age in name only.
4. They are just voicing their opinions, *forgot only professional "critics" are allowed to make money off voicing their opinions.*

5.

5* Or at least more fun than playing Veilgaurd.

I'm now properly into the game (just returned to the Lighthouse after finding the dagger) and I can say the game is actually amazing. Bioware did a fantastic job here and if it continues like this, Veilguard is shaping up to be one of the best games they've ever made.

Don't listen to the negative reviews and social media drama queens, they don't know what they're talking about lol. GOTY contender for me for sure!

Really enjoying it as well. Just gathered all party members. There is one quest so far that has some fantastic lore.
