Yoooo,

i see no-one has made a dragonage thread, so i will :p


I been playing it a little, at first i didnt really like it due to the party type RPG but now i'm engrossed in this game. Its freeking awesome and can be quite difficult.
I started a Dalish elf rouge. Im now battling the darkspawns as the 1st attack takes place on the town. Still early days.

Whats everyone's views on this game so far?
 
Just got my ce and installing. Pretty sure its going be great though, all feedback and the little I played at rage suggest I will love this game. Been waiting for this since BW announced it nearly 6 years ago.
 
Yup. I feel almost sad playing it because each all engrosing hour spent playing it means one hour closer to finishing it :(

Its an amazing game. Got mine on Steam, playing it on windows 7 and not a single crash. even when "ALT TABBING"

Trying to not play it until December holidays.....
 
hahah roddy, yeah i know how you feel but its a long game, and i think there's alot of re playability available.

I've only had 1 crash on windows 7 but that was due to Nvidia physx driver. It only happened once.
 
I hope it really really long then. I'm in town, about to have the crap beaten out of me by 5 million night time zombies, and i've already discovered 13% of the world according to the stats. (Town was my first mission, after leaving the refuge place where you find that big fellow in a cage)

Buying it from Steam, i bought the delux edition and got two add-ins. Stone prisioner and Soldiers peak. I've done the Peak already. Great fun.
 
Ya my game is completely different.

I'm in a camp of sort. i started off with fellow elf people and stuff went down, then i went to become a grey warden and im on the mission after that. Dont wanna give to much away for people who havn't played it yet.

I love that about the game there is 6 unique starts to the gane depending on your character and class, I am also an elf but an elf mage so I started with the circle of mages. I already rolled through the area where you started and helped all the elves there :D AWESOME GAME!
 
Been looking at getting this, what rule set does it use?
 
Just got back from Look and listen and IC this afternoon and they still don't have the game.
 
how is the performance on the game? ... graphics aint that fab , expected more ... some greatness here and there but nothing mind blowing ... running a GTX295 and all maxed. played for a little bit, will finfish borderlands and then contune with this one ... funny thing is at 1920x1200, the game runs smoother with vsync on and AA on ... with either off it does not run as good ... i find that weird :)
 
My performance is okay. i only have a 8800gts 320mb and a 6000+x2 and i can run 1600x1400 with AA and its cool and quality on max.

I cant kill this fekin ogre :( its making me sad.

*ONLY READ IF YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW TO KILL OGRE*


My advice and how i finally managed... keep two of your team alive. One mage or archer and the other a fighter. Let the fighter run around and the ogre will follow them. Don't run too close to the other team member.
Keep this other team member on ranged attack. As you run your ass off with the ogre following, the mage or archer will take him down bit by bit....

cool thanks man :) I actually figured that out but i ran to close to my ranged attacker a few times. eheh

will try tonight again.
 
Graphics are fine. Ran for the most part at between 45 -60 fps for me on very high with no aa.
 
stefan, put on AA. It makes a huge diff, it makes the game look pretty and i feel a performance gain with it

I got the normal edition last night and installed it, but is there a way to install the disc 2 as well. When I installed it only used one disc.

My graphics card makes everyones teeth look yellow brownish colour. :D

Normal edition ? Didn't knew there was a 2 disc edition going around. The one I bought was a single dvd 9 disc, really odd indeed :erm:
