Hi everyone. Hope I am posting this in the right section. I'm looking at going for my drivers soon, wanted to know if anyone has any advice on a quick and painless centre to book through?
I've heard from a lot of people that Pinetown, Rossburgh and Winkelspruit are all up to no good (bribes etc). I don't wanna buy the license obviously.
I don't mind travelling out of Durban to do it as well, one if my friends went to eShowe a couple of years ago and he said he managed to book in half an hour (can anyone confirm?)

Any help/advice will be appreciated! :)

I did mine in Greytown 5years ago. The yard is on an incline and the offers are very strict but I did get a booking for the next day. Escourt booking was a month in advance if I remember correctly.

I assume it's a Code 08.

Peak season atm but currently a few DLTC's have late November and December bookings available. Your options are Stanger, Kokstad, Matatiele, Greytown, Empangeni, Newcastle.

Pmb also has some dates available but for some reason they don't book anyone from out of town :wtf:

I heard Mooi River had a good testing ground but that is far from you.

Yeah our incline is a bitch but if you get through the yard you're half-way there :D

Incline is easy if you know how and done quite steep pull offs without rolling with and without the handbrake :D.

Lots of steep hills to practise on here before going to the testing ground, one is at my house.

I don't mind travelling that far :) I'd go on a 2 hour drive to get it done there rather than putting up with the corrupt arrogant ones in Durban :O

Greytown looks like a good bet :) just need to get my parallel parking sorted now

The officers at Greytown can be a bit over the top with the rules but at least the roads are quiet and very easy there and no corruption like PMB's one or Durban.

One of my friends used Greytown after failing at PMB's one many times and passed first time in Greytown.

Not really over the top so much as fair :)

We do have a few newly qualified Examiners. But we try and ensure that they stick to the same guidelines as the more experienced ones.
