Drivers' licence renewals: Queuing for nothing

I went to Green Point traffic department to renew my license last Thursday. I had to get a temporary license as well as I had lost my card a few weeks ago.
It was quick and easy. Both eye testing machines were working, and the queue was moving. Must have been there 30min tops.

Think that there are too many of us driving about to find the busiest office so that we have something else to b!tch about.

You can do everything at the eye doctors including filling out forms and stuff and then all you have to do at the license station is hand in forms and collect the license.

Wrong. I did that but guess what - they want your fingerprints. AGAIN! - incase maybe they have changed - who the hell knows.

The queue however, is for both eye test and fingerprints, so you equally stuffed and still have to queue for hours!
