Probably had about 85 people in front of me in the queue for eye tests and only had one operator doing tests and taking approximately 5 minutes per person. After a couple of hours somebody started doing eye treats at a second eye testing station which speeded things up slightly.

People still go without getting their eye test done at the optometrist for free?

At some stations they no longer accept optometrists tests. At least that what I read on here somewhere I think.

Not sure if Rayton would accept an optometrists test but it wouldn't have helped much as it's the same queue for eyetests and fingerprints.

My licence was ready in 2 weeks. 6.5hrs in a queue??? Really? :wtf:

Sounds slightly exaggerated to me.

I was 4h last year :( I can really believe 6hrs with the way these places are run.

We didn't even have forms. We were told to queue and they'd bring photo copies while we wait

6h30min??? Really?

No jokes, I got there at half past 7 and there were already about 60 people standing in the queue for eye tests and fingerprints, apparently the first people arrive before 5. By the time I'd collected my forms there were probably 85 ppl in front of me. Waited in line until 13:00 to do my test (5:30 hrs) then another hour in a queue to pay(1 hr). Finally left at just after 2pm.

5.5hrs+1hr=6.5hrs

I would have left it for another day and/or testing station if my license want expiring that same day.

We got different queues for everything so works here :D

When do you usually go? I prefer afternoons and the middle of the week and must not be 1st/16th/25th of the month as it is busy during those times as they receive their money and go straight to the centre.

How many times do you queue for a new license that you have a preferred time and day?

Well thats from when my friends/family and I, have tried then given up when there was a long queue, I never wait in long queues, I just go home and come back another time.

Hi guys, I lost my licence last week, what's my best course of action to attain another one? And what would be required?
