I went to renew on the 4th of May as mine expires on the 18th of June - still waiting. The sms for status number returns with a message to contact the place of application.

I wanted to renew mine before I fly to UK early next month. Guess I'll just wait until I am back in August to see if the machine is working and ally to renew then. Or not...

Just keep the receipt and proof of payment with you, the cops will let you go when shown that you really applied for a new licence and have the proof of that.

I did not do a temp licence, it just is another money-making scheme.

Some dwis cloned my GP plates though and triggered a speeding fine. Had to tell the traffic dept to sod off.

Never heard anything so far, hope they caught the dwis.
