I went to renew on the 4th of May as mine expires on the 18th of June - still waiting. The sms for status number returns with a message to contact the place of application.
Keep the receipt. With a bit of photoshopping you might never have to pay for a license ever again.Just keep the receipt and proof of payment with you, the cops will let you go when shown that you really applied for a new licence and have the proof of that.
