My card has started stalling quite recently. By stalling i mean no recieving or sending for long periods... so far it ranges from 1min to about 5  . Tried disconnecting/reconnecting... also removing the card then putting it back in to also even restarting... these help but for only a brief time then it stalls again.

Any ideas if there is a network problem?

My E620 works fine tonight with MTN sim, but freezes PC with VM sim - first time I get this. Used to see dropped connections with VM only; a lot of people report same dropped connections with VM.

same problem...stalling

Hi Acidrain

I have exactly the same problem with my MTN 3G on E220 device. Its most annoying when playing network games. Its most prevalent from 6:30pm to 10:30pm.

This sounds similar to symptoms people have been experiencing in Cape Town centre, see this thread.

Could be congestion, where are you located?

There was a posting a few months back about MTN having a surge of usage arround 8pm, where the network gets close to capasity. It must be the cheaper call rates and free minutes etc.

Maybe MTN should concider moving the off peak to 7pm, then the usage will be spread over a longer period and possibly reduce the load.
