Qoute: McCarthy, it would appear, has been dropped as punishment for missing recent friendly internationals against Norway and Portugal. But, as the old adage goes: "Finding a good scapegoat is as welcome as a solution to the problem."


A scapegoat for what exactly? Somebody try to make sense of what this guy is saying here. Is it that it's okay for players to pi9ck and choose which games they would like to play in simply because they are the stars of the team? What kind of mentality is that? Personnaly i would rather lose with players who wanna play than win with with benni in the squad. Everybody's sick of this guy, and Cape town journalists need to start realising that fact.

PS: I don't think he's being punished here. He clearly demonstrated that he doesn't wanna play for his country, so why should we then punish him by including him in our team?

His problerm is that he knows we need him and so he wants us to beg him to play for us, and like i said i would rather lose than beg anyone to play for me.

It was high time that banana banana told him to piss off... letting him pick and choose which match to play is just not right... it's an honour to be playing for a country yet he makes it a chore - the less SA focuses of @$$ like that the more united front we can build with the current crop of players that wants to play and win
