Druid PVP/PVE.

Wow you guys just bursted my bubble... i thought druids didnt need to buy riding training for their flight forms... the 800g would have been acceptable but not the 5k!

well its the price you pay man..280% is freeeeking quick.. on the bright side we only pay like 9g total for our first flight form.. other pay a shait load more... plus we get it at 68, where others get it at 70. AND another bonus is that we pay for neither mounts. all others have to buy the training and a mount. BONUS!

Not to mention the bonus of having instant cast flying available. When doing dailies in Northrend, I don't bother running short distances, I just go into flight form. And pickup quests are a breeze with it.

I dont find it that wicked. for starters the flight form looks pretty stupid to me. i also have 5 other 70s and only one of them have the 800g training plus mount. the only reason i did the wintersaber quests was so that i dont have to waste 540g to train

omg,

first of all, we can gather herbs, skin(not to sure about mining) IN FLIGHT FORM!

Second of all we can complete gather quests in flight form{this all means while others waste time stopping to collect, then mount up again, we are just cruzing around at 280%(with epic) constantly}

and last but not least..and this has saved my ass about 4 or so times in my career.. when you are trying to get away from someone who is trying to kill you, you simply jump off the nearest cliff, wait a few seconds, AND SWITCH TO FLIGHT FORM WHILST FALLING!!
now HOW is that not one of the most beautiful things about being a druid? i ask you!!
Although our 60% flying form doesnt look too great(im alliance and prefer it to the brown tauren pigeon) the epic form looks fantastic.
Seriously our flight forms are a wonder, and slightly overpower(gathering and quest speeds increased) PLUS the forms are completely free(not the training)
and best of all, there is absolutely nothing stopping you from collecting a beautiful proto drake(like i have :D) or any other regular mount.
Although i will never stop using my swift flight form!

Im considering to spend the 5k gold (Which i dont have yet) on my other characters. dont know where i will get all the gold though. i can make like 500-800g from lvl 60-70 by selling gear that drops from mobs and quest rewards. just a bit dissapointed.

I think that the epic flying was meant as something to work hard for, rather than just picking it up as you play casually. It was a lot more difficult to get the 5K gold in TBC than it is now in WotLK. I think it was similar to how 150 Riding and 100% mounts were in Vanilla.

Considering that you did the rep grinding for the Wintersaber mount, it means that you are not against repetitive grinding to achieve something. Only difference is that you will be grinding for gold and not rep.

ye man dont stress about ur epic flyer.
Look at it this was.
As a druid you get ur 60% form at lvl 68.GREAT and for only 9g!!
Then you have a choice to either hit 70 in outland or move on to northrend at 68/69.
If you chose the latter you cannot fly until 77 anyway.
So to be honest there is NO rush, if you save ur cash from 60-68, then hit northrend and continue to save until 77, you will have like 7-8k never mind just 5k.
You wont need to buy anything. the gear from quests in outland are MUCH better than those from Azeroth, and Wotlk is EVEN BETTER!
so dont stress, just save ur cash!

Ye but not tree's and birdies :(
We still using ancient ass models, its disgusting..
At least 1 of my specs will look good :(
Still, its a start! a good 1 too!

on lvl 61 i have about 4.2k mana, do you guys think its a good time to give balance another try?

Ye and you need a completely different set of gear.
Agility and Strength etc wont do much for a boomkin :)

to be honest i have never really paid much attention to different armor sets for different builds. i just look for armor and stamina in gear. im still learning to get the hang of the game, have only been playing for a few months now

:O thats no good.. There are Caster sets and Melee sets. and just because a druid can effectivly wear both doesnt mean that you should randomize your gear..
If you go for feral, then wear melee gear, and caster gears NEEDS intel and spellpower. Otherwise you are going be a cat with very little health and surplus mana, or a caster with loads of health and a tiny mana pool.
Ever since i was level 20 i started collecting a healing set to go along with my feral dps set. I would heal every dungeon i ever did, but in feral spec. The caster gear made up for the spec to a certain degree.
It is my opinion that every druid, no matter what level should be collecting more than one set of gear, even if it usually sits in ur bank. Thats what being a druid is all about.
Druids and Pallys, Jacks-of-all-traits!

I personly love the the Nightelf Cat form. Just looks totaly nice. The Tauren on the other hand is just LOL ;)

all the tauren forms are ugly imo.
Our cat form does look good, and its going to look cooler still i bet.
But the tree and moonkin are lame, they are outdated!
Im a tree and i look like an abused and undernourished bonzai!

When I hear Druid and tree I have to think about the song "The Twist" xD I do agree that they could improve the Nelf Cat and others but if they decide not to I could live with it.

How popular were moonkin tanks pre-WOTLK? and how much armor did other tanks have then?
