Dry Scalp

The products are drying your scalp. If you cut them out your scalp will over produce sebum until it stabilises. Wait it out and allow your skin to recalibrate to its natural state while washing as little as what you can.

Counterpoint: I have a friend who is a stylist and she swears by Head and Shoulders. Have you tried it already?
I have cut them out but it's still dry. I do wash my hair everyday though. Could it be the 'hard' water here in PTA?

Any advice on how to treat dry scalp? I've tried different shampoos, oils etc but nothing helps.
Medi tar works for me, Head and Shoulders for the wife. H&S does nothing for me.

H&S, Gill etc. works for me but I have dandruff, not dry scalp, anti-dandruff shampoo probably won't help for dry scalp.

I've tried - coconut, argan, almond, olive, lavender
I've tried all of the above and amla, peppermint, tea tree, argon and a few more. None of them worked. Starting to think it might not be external. I drink a lot of water and have an okay-ish diet. My hair is gone thin and I'm balding (at 21:crying:).

Eat the oils. Don’t just put it on your head. Your skin will produce sebum from circulating free fatty acids that result from dietary fats. Coconut oil, olive oil, butter. Also make sure you get enough fat soluble vitamins like A, D, K.

Your hair is probably dry and wicking away fats from your scalp. There are other factors but it’s most likely that your okay-ish diets are complete crap.

jesus ****ing christ: he spends more than 10 minutes on a single point - don't use shampoo, it is a lie, but never gets to say hey you should rather use this or try that. Then finally punts his site. haha.

Anyhow, why I asked the op how many times does he washes his hair

All year but in winter it gets worse.
Chances are you're also turning the water temp up as it gets colder and the hot water is stripping away more oils / contributing to dryness. Maybe dial the temp down and see if it helps.

Lol he talks about his own thing right at the end (instead of like a douche at the front) and you still moan about it.

So what is his solution? I'm pointing out the facts; it's a 10+ minute talk show about not using it, using multiple points to boost himself. Which in itself is fine and totally correct, but then what does he leaves us with? I must have missed the part where he offers us an actual solution to the problem he has been describing, unless he left it up to yourself to use nothing instead of shampoos, or godforbid wash your hair like once a week? I already do that with my beard as you don't need to wash it each and every day because of the said reasons. Now if you want to be a douche yourself and paint my summary of it as moaning, well your loss.

Lol you watched a 10 minute video of a guy making a case for not letting the media tell you what to think and here you are, scratching your scalp because he didn’t end off telling you what to think.

Take the info he gave you and figure it out.

Tresseme works best. But wash daily.

Gill and head and shoulders suck.

It could be Psioraisis
