DS Lite ordered

Cool man, i've had mine for 3 months, have no regrets. Amazing little console..and the games are even better .

@ webhostingTalk: Welcome to the club and nay, Take2 (www.take2.co.za). Order American games. You see, the DS is region free. Ordering games from USA will play perfectly on your DS :)

Ok will do, hope they come available locally with the new distributor for the Wii announced.

One more question, what games do you guys recommend?

My top 3 recommendations:
-----
Pokemon Diamond or Pearl (even if you've never played a Pokemon game before)
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (my first Castlevania game - loved it)
New Super Mario Bros. (must have - pure brilliance)

Also; Sonic Rush, Super Mario 64 DS and Mario Kart DS aren't too bad and highly enjoyable.

That's my 2cents

Yea, www.take2.co.za is your best bet ..good prices and quick. BTGames got a severly limited collection, rather check out Reggies & Toys'R'Us they seem to have "slightly" more stuff on their shelves....but for all latest stuff forget them, take2 all the way.

My favorites at this stage [in no particular order]

Metroid Prime : Hunters (get this if you want to see what the DS "can" do . It's a FPS, more mature type of game...targeting with a stylus makes a massive diff).

42 All time Classics (Best value for money you'll ever get, it's basically all the card games [blackjack/solitaire etc] ,boardgames [chess and such] and some other games like darts and pool in one package! )

PuzzleQuest : Challenge of the Warlord (RPG but all fighting is in the form of a puzzle game....if you ever played something like Magic:The Gathering and combine that with RPG ..this is almost like that)

----
These games i don't have YET, but i recommend them anyway:

Advance Wars: Dual Strike [Strategy Game]
Legend of Zelda : Phantom HourGlass [RPG, coming soon!]

I have the "regular" Nintendo stuff too, like New Mario Bros ...also great fun, but can get frustrating [i get annoyed at games not allowing me to save often enough..i mean i am on a handheld afterall [i.o.w i don't usually play 2 hour stretches] ] .

I had mines for around 5 months. Got it in Dubai.
My advice? Order a Supercarad DS One or R4.
I got the Supercard from Germany (ordered online). Built in organiser software, ability to run homebrew as well as run GBC/NES/SNES games on the ds.
It can also run downloaded DS roms ;)

People have some sense around here

Glad to see there are some people who can appreciate some quality hardware from Nintendo. I have a DS lite and I must say it far surpasses the PSP according to me. The touch screen alone makes mobile gaming so much more fun.

Especially Metroid Prime Hunters, probably one of the best hand held games I've seen yet. And Pokemon Pearl/Diamond doesn't seem to bad either.

One of the games Im realy looking forward to buying is Warhammer: Squad Commander that is due to release in November.

I've heard a rumour that Nintendo's sales is currently higher than the whole Sony!!! Man Nintendo Rocks! :D

Order a Supercarad DS One or R4.

Those are cool flash cards, but if you want to buy one, I would rather recommend the G6 Real 16Gbit (2Gbyte) flash card. More than enough space, built in Gui etc. Not too exensive and it has a built in passme

Like yarrr.....I like want to order one of these flashcards and stuff.....but where....websites would be helpful (especially South African ones).

Don't waste time, buy the flash card now. I got the R4 and a 1gig mirco memory card. Bought it on Ebay.co.uk from a Taiwanese seller for about 28 pounds total - I can get the sellers name if you want - that way you know it's all legit. Just PM me.

But if you want a game in the mean time: These are my favourites so far: PuzzleQuest, Picross, Phoenix Wright, Kirby's Magic Paint Brush (pretty easy but fun), tetris, Castlevania.

Does anyone have an idea when Nintendo's anti cheating systems will be ready for Metroid. I can't stand cheaters on the internet!

Metroid's got the most fantastic anti cheater functionality on the planet!

It doesn't have Multiplayer. Sorry dude.

It's my biggest hesitation with the game.

Metroid Prime Hunters for the DS. It's online multiplayer!! Most of the times when I join a Multiplayer game, I find a cheater, who usualy goes and hide in the walls. Mostly on combat hall.
