DS Lite ordered

No one said that DS is better than PC, only that DS is way better than everone thought at the begining. And the Wii outsells the PS3 all over the world (Sony fans very shocked about this :D). Nintendo is again at the top concerning consoles. They have the most sales of all the consoles, and even their games outselles the competition. Pc will always have a place in the gaming industry, but with the rate games are developing for pc, I fear only the very rich people will be able to keep up with the games that is currently releasing for computers. You will have to upgrade every 6 months to be able to play games at max performance. Consoles on the other hand doesn't have that problem. You buy your console, and you buy games. No upgrading necessary. It would be much more affordable to buy a new console every 3-5 years than to upgrade every 6 months

You still have to upgrade your console to play the latest games. That's why they released stuff like the XBOX360 and the PS3... ;)

Fair point, though. But I still believe computers are at the pinnacle of innovation and technology. Consoles aren't too bad, though :)

That is true. If computers' hardware didn't change so fast, consoles won't develop so quickly either. People can say what they want, consoles are a bit dependent on PCs. Consoles uses the same graphic cards and the same CPU's that computers uses. The Wii uses a Radeon card, the Xbox a Nvidia card (not sure) and the PS3 uses something like the 8800GTX or 8800ultra seeing its graphic performance is so high. If Pc's should vanish, manufacturers like Nvidia and Radeon will loose alot of business as consoles only develop in a time span of minimum 3 years, and so far I havn't seen a console that can have it's graphic card upgraded.

SO it all comes down to this: All consoles are dependent on Pc development. After all, even a console's games are made on PC....
 
Although I will say that Nintendo take's everyday hardware and makes something "else" out of it. The wii doesn't have the latest and most expensive hardware inside of it, but the way you play with it, and the type of games they develop for it makes gaming so much more fun than the regular Console or Pc
 
The Wii is something else, Nintendo really upped the ante with it. I can't wait to see Sony's response :p

I guess they will cry out of frustration. I believe that the PS3 will end up like Sega, gone and almost forgotten. It's way too expensive, for that price I can buy a realy decent PC
 
Midget, I really don't recommend Pokemon - although there is something somewhat addictive, in that it is a collection sort game. But the truth is it's incredibly tedious - the same battles 200 times, and you can't be clever, it's just, mach punch everything to death.
 
Anything other than Command & Conquer 3, Hitman Blood Money and Dawn of war is boring for you ;)

Nah, The GUI is moonshell. good enough, and always being updated.
Uses mini sd cards, extremely cheap, and can be easily upgraded size wise.
The DS one also has a built in pass me and a whole lot of other functionality. The R4 and other cards are similar.
 
But SD cards can cause slow downs in games. If you buy the G6 real you can avoid that
 
True, but the trick is to get cards manufactured in Japan ;)
Also, the DS One comes with a "Speed Patch" and there are High speed cards available :)

Playing the NES and gbc classics :)
 
OK cool, I want to buy a flash card. But, I want a card that supports ALL DS games aswell as add-ons (ex rumble pack etc). It shouldn't have any Issues with multiplayer games and Online, but I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it. Someting in the line of R350 - R500 (Incl shipping). Although the G6 Real has some great features, and it's not too expensive on its own, the shipping and import tax is way too much.

I got the guy I bought it from to put a fake price on the package so the tax wasn't too high ;)
The Card does support all DS games, full features of the DS
 
The core group will be brining in all Nintendo goodies, so expect to see some more DS games on the self at the end of the month.

Still need to find out if our non local warranties will be honoured.
 
Just got my DS delivered to my door. :D

What a brilliant little console will have to go buy some more games for it thou.
I would highly recommend WantItAll they gave excellent service and very good communication.

Well I’m off in search of more games....
