Hi

I'm looking for a dsl modem router in the R500 - R1200 range.
Can anyone recommend a good solid dsl modem router?

From reading reviews for all the locally available ones some drop dsl connections and
all such other problems after a few hours with no firmware updates to fix the issues and
no support from the manufacturers.

Please recommend a good dsl modem that works great and does'nt have issues that make you cry.:wtf:
Thanks!

Have a look at the TP-Link W8960N. It is has at least 4x 100Mbps ports, ADSL2+ modem and 802.11n (300Mbps) wireless.

So far I've heard nothing but positive feedback regarding that ADSL modem.

LoneWolf: none of those routers on that page include an ADSL modem. There should be a few people on this forum with the Linksys E4200 router, because I've seen quite a few requests for simultaneous dual band + gigabit routers, which makes the E4200 one of the very few that you can choose from.

I recently purchased an Asus DSL-N10 which I'm very happy with.
802.11n wireless, ADSL2+, 4-port 10/100. It's both very simple to setup and use and very configurable.
Picked it up from Esquire for R450-odd (ex VAT)

You can't go wrong with an Asus :)

Need to buy a router

ADSL Modem Router advice please

and What brand ADSL router do you use

now W.R.T having no issues and working great, this is also dependent on your line quality etc. So not necessarily the one that has worked well for another, will it be the same for you regarding disconnects etc. From a build quality and wireless performance standpoint, they should be the same for you, just something to keep in mind :).
