DSL problems

Hello

I have had a thread for this before...
For some reason i have run out of ideas on how to fix this problem...
For 5 months now i have had intermittent connection where the DSL light just switches off and then
the internet switches off .... I have had 2 technicians at my house and they fiddled with cables and my router
and it works for half of the day and then the internet still drops...
I contact telkom every time and they are aware of the fact that I time out about 50 times a day...
They simply slow my line down to a 1meg and then dont even contact to confirm if the internet is stable...
I sent them an sms to tell them the problem hadn't been fixed on there 24hour sms service after a Fault has been logged and i got no reply...

I really dont know what to do ?:mad:
I just wish they would fix this problem...
Does anyone have a solution?

I had similar issues, it turned out to a cable fault under the ground (to cabinet) :) mine was down for 3 months buddy, so good luck!
I eventually got my friends dad to get it sorted (GM of Mweb) then they fixed it but found out that our road was also affected by a cable break by the manhole, only our road, so they cut the whole area and fixed the issue (3-4 days) ... When you Internet is up, try and post your line stats
